The main colours are picked from a screenshot, with minor adjustments. The rest, is my usual format.
I will note, for both the colours and the symbols, I only used the main (?) colours of Ushka, so I didn't use the red+yellow of her collar, the purple of her sweater, or the lighter purple of her socks (?).
Same idea with the symbol. I didn't find anything symbol-y to use, and it also seems too complex/specific to just use a normal flaticon symbol for. But on the first episode, during the black and white pause screen (? whatever it's called...) I thought the little drawing of her looked cute, simple, iconic, and easy enough to crop out, so I used that. The edges are a bit shaky, as the original show uses a textured brush, but uh,,, maybe that just makes it fit the style better? lol
Additionally, I added little lines and hearts, both because they looked aesthetically pleasing, and it fits. The lines being like shock/fear, because she's jumpy, and the hearts being for how she really loves Masacrik.
The gradient outline is just for aesthetics <3
And yes, I did list Russian versions here also. I saw the original Russian name and title while looking it up and thought, wouldn't it be cool to have Russian versions? Thanks to @finnaleas for helping out (˶◜ᵕ◝˶) I learned something new /positive which I could also apply to other terms, maybe someday I will be able to make full coining posts in Russian hehe,,,
Also, yes, I did watch the 2 episodes + a short song about the show, and I have to say, it is pretty cool.
I also think it's interesting, why is she like that? Like that one scene where she thought he was going to slap her. Is it because he's physically abusive, or was she abused before, and he's taking advantage of that fear? I don't know, my theory is on the latter, since we haven't seen him get violent, just really enjoy her pre-concived fear. I also think it's more interesting from a certain stand-point, like focusing on psychological abuse (or something like that, they certainly don't seem healthy,,, but then, who am I to judge? me and my boyfriend are FREAKS)
Also, damn the animation in the second episode is super super impressive. Like the flow, the detail, it really felt like,, you could really understand what she was feeling. Even the transition into that segment, where the style changed, was like, woah. And I think it's hand drawn too? Seemed pencil-y. Wow wow wow. Very pretty!
