i mean getting back into the weed of things retrospectively it seems pretty obvious to me they had something planned and doug's death thoroughly side-lined whatever they were playing. like having cavallo peak in on the process? the general progression of stuff that kinda abruptly shifted? and i truly don't think the scope of that loss is translatable when doug was such a background aspect of the creative process, by design that type of work is difficult to convey both because the lay audience is unfamiliar and because it suits the industry. and also because many of these types of creative professionals deliberately choose to be out of the public eye
