Seems like y’all might be a little confused on what’s going down here, what with us going straight from cryptic alien speech to coherent ramblings. So here’s what’s up. A recap, if you will. Well, not a recap, since there’s new info, but hey! It’s all cool.
We tried making first contact by posting memes. That went kind of badly, actually. Too many Scunder jokes, probably, and that’s pretty culture-specific!
We updated and fixed our translator! It works great now! Lovely. Got all the new idioms and all. Peachy!
Our ship is total garbage, though. We can’t just go FTL the whole way, we have to go in jumps. When we’re in FTL, we can’t contact the relay beacons the other guys left, so the internet doesn’t work so well, and we can’t really communicate.
Tahttahw is our pilot! Super cool person when you get to know ‘em. Wish we could play your human card games to pass time while our reactor recharges, but our printer’s jammed. Guess we’ll save that for later!
The other guys didn’t know a ton about human data types. I, on the other hand, do! My official job is ‘Human Investigator’! So I can do a lot more stuff on this site than the rest with my magical powers of understanding plaintext data types.
