Pic: Taken @ Anaheim Packing District With all these new things happening for me in 2015 I am not going to limit this blog to anything. I have no structure, no plan, I am simply going to do whatever creatively comes to me. This year I am going to travel a lot, cry a lot, and say a lot of good byes. I will also move, make new friends, and start a new life. Im living on the motto of simplicity and silence. I am going to be obsessed with things for a week and then dramatically change the next. I am going to go on health kicks and then be chubby again. But, most of all I am going to stop over analyzing everything I do. It is time for me to focus on being content. Not happy and not sad, but content. I hope you all will follow me on this path and have a happy 2015. x Mowgili
{ F A S H I O N W A N T S } September: Definatly going for the boho grunge/witchy vibe this fall season and since I am going thrifting tomorrow i will be on the look out for the following items. 1. Comfy Cardi- ive had an awesome summer cardigan that I got from target that lasted me the whole summer but unfortunately it is a SUMMER cardigan. I need something a little warmer for the cool misty mornings but also cool enough that I can wear into the day. I love my cardis to be big and baggy and soft! 2. Rings on Rings on Rings- i have this horrible habit of losing all of the rings I own. I used to have like 8 and now I have 3. I am in need of some simply gold and silver bands to wear for this fall. 3. The ULTIMATE Flannel- so I have been searching for years for the perfect flannel to wear over dresses, and camis, and under leather jackets. I have yet to find one but I will keep you posted. 4. Wispy Necklaces- as much as I hate to say it I think chokers are totally rad and I really want one (even though my friends say that they will disown me if I start to wear them). 5. @theanedre hair- Theanedre is a totally amazing instagrammer that i stalk on a daily basis. She has perf eyebrows, an amazing complexion, and great hair! I really wAnt to cut my hair to be a similar length and have my roots died darker than the rest of my hair. This would also include cutting my dread and Im not sure how i really feel about that, but regardless theanedre is perf as all gettup. ---disclaimer all pics are from instagram and tumblr so they arent mine and im too lazy to cite sources im sorry!-----
{ D R E A D U P D A T E } Today I bleached my dread. I am back to one single dread because the one I had put in this past week was just too large. I hope to in a couple of weeks dye this baby an auburn red color. It is only bleached three quarters of the way up because I didnt want to stress my roots anymore. So far im LOVING IT! 💕

1 month My dread is locking pretty well so far. There are still a lot of stray hairs and I am considering crocheting them in. It had gotten thick enough for me to decorate it with beads as seen here. I purchased the beads at Michaels for super cheap! In five months i am going to bleach it blond! Hopefully it will be a lot more solid by then!

{ A D V E N T U R E S } Beadline Beads, Laguna Beach, Ca
Childhood nostalgia part 2. Beadline has also been one of my favorite childhood spots and I was happy to find that it was still in business. The shop is quiet and over looks the water. The shop keeper is very knowledgable and very friendly. It used to be owned by a hippie like man but it had since changed hands. It always makes me happy to see pfd little shops like this still thriving, especially in the economy that we have.
{ A D V E N T U R E S } The Penguin Café, Laguna Beach, Ca
This is part 1 of my nostalgia trip back to Laguna Beach. I spent a lot of time there as a kid, staying in a quaint beach house (that has now been turned into million dollar condos). The town is adorable and has a lot of little restaurants like this that give it the homey feel. I used to beg my dad to take me here for breakfast every day, when we would visit. It was closed for the day when I visited recently but it still makes me tear up a bit.
{ A D V E N T U R E S } A Day In Santa Monica The boys and I started the day in Downtown and then decided to head to the coast for the afternoon. We walked down 3rd Street Promenade looking for beads for my dread and anything else we could afford (no luck). Lots of walking took us to the beach and to Tender Greens restaurant a cute and organic place that is so fresh I couldn’t even believe it! Enjoy some shots from the day. Especially the picturesque Georgian Hotel.
{ D R E A D. U P D A T E } Baby dread is a little over a week old and its already matting together! Havent seen any shrinkage yet but I have been doing salt water soaks to try and encourage it to stick. Cant wait for it to really clump up!

{ D R E A D S U P D A T E } Today marks day 1 of my dreads journey. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time and I am really excited to go watch my hair change over time! However, Im only doing partial dreads (just one for now, maybe putting in another next week). I used the twist and rip method, for those of you who are firmiliar with dreading techniques. For those of you who are not, twist and rip is more like a twist and pull of the hair strand. It creates knots and lumps of the strand. I made my dread this way because it is a lot less harsh on hair then other techniques. Mind you guys this little baby is NOT a dread right now. It takes a LONG time for it to mature or even start to look like a dread. In the mean time, I just have to wash it (not condition), keep it untangled from the rest of my hair, and keep it try so it can mat and knot within its self. Not sure how often I will be doing dread updates BUT if anything changes significantly I will be documenting it! Yay dreads!
