Lord of the Rings ending except it’s Willy Wonka. Frodo throws the one ring in the lava, and Sauron comes out and says you did it my boy and then he gives Mordor to Frodo.

do you ever get overwhelmed by the fact that bilbo originally volunteered to retake the ring and bring it to mordor and then you sit there for a moment in your tears knowing that in a durins don’t die au of the hobbit there’s a chance they figure out the ring is evil much earlier and bilbo would probably end up being the one to take it to mordor

do you then start thinking about what an alternate fellowship headed by bilbo as the ringbearer would look like and ofc thorin would want to be with his hobbit until the bitter end even if the ring decides to try and tap back into his dragonsickness
