Sadly, I am already back, anon, but yes, I had an awesome time.

I don't know if you followed me for Conclave or long before, so depending on which it is, it may make sense (or not so much)...

In short:

I visited a few of the conclave filming locations (where the turtle pond scene was filmed, the tunnel, and the courtyard of the arrival scene)

I visited the actual papal turtles in the Vatican Gardens, was in the Vatican Museums,

saw the Sistine Chapel (and the extra omnes door with my own eyes), was in St. Peter's at night with only 50 others (and a few times just so), and just ... *heart eyes*

and well... the most hilarious thing I did was following my 200k Conclave fic through Rome...

I went to a park where they met, to the restaurant where another ship had their date night, to doing a morning stroll with a character's messed-up playlist to the Gardens where yet another ship had their argument...

It was... THE BEST THING EVER and I had so much fun fooling around with my story and the print-outs and just everything. I have a twitter thread that covers this [x] and I may also post it here at one point :D

do you ever plan to write a sequel or emotionally similar fic to journey’s echo? it’s one of my favorite fics ever!! even if not ofc i thank you for writing it. amazing job!

As for your question(s): I may write similar stories in the future if inspiration hits me (the idea for A Journey's Echo happened during my vacation literally out of nowhere) and I can tackle them as one-shots. I love complex topics and I enjoy writing darker themes a lot because it's interesting to dive into the psychology of it.

That said, with how my life currently is (switching jobs soon) and having two multichapter WIPs on going right now which I want to complete until year's end, I try to focus on this.

Yes, I may write a one-shot every once in a while because I can't do anything against inspiration, but I won't open the Pandora's Box of another multichapter WIP.

And that would be Sequel to AJE: at least 10 chapters, covering the timespan of roughly three years, covering Aldo's & Vincent's journey together, Vincent & Thomas, Thomas & Aldo and everybody else involved (Janusz); covering mental instability, self-loathing, anger, frustration, sadness, the aftermath of abuse and its complexity, and, ultimately, also love... So you see, I spent loads and loads of thoughts on this already. Really a lot. But right now I have neither the time nor the brain space for it, and for the sake of the quality of such a story I can't write it. Not now at least. But that doesn't mean I won't :)
