Love you in the dark

Captain. 

I was half in love long before I met you. I took you from the mouths of strangers and dreamt you twice as golden as the gilded legends they told me.

These were the constants of my childhood: scraped knuckles, slapped wrists, dreams too big for my body. And the hero that lived in them. Shiganshina burned and so did I, and when I stepped off the boat a man, all I had left of youth was you and the memory of my mother’s smile.

The first thing I learnt from you was that legends have a way of going soft if you keep them long enough. You were hard and sharp, bitingly real in a way untainted by praise or slander. I didn’t know how I could learn to stand beside you without your edges cutting into me.

The first thing you learnt from me was that monsters don’t always howl and bite, melting away in steam and sunlight. Sometimes they linger behind your eyelids in the middle of the night and refuse to die until you’ve promised to bury them under your skin.

When I hold you against me, our broken pieces don’t align. We shattered in all the wrong places. Stay. Hold my hand and let me wear grooves into the jagged spaces between your fingers. Empty me of the myth of you I half-adored.

When they are through with us, I’ll take every piece and part of you and love you whole.

i dont care what anyone says, levi Ackerman is the purest cinnamon roll to ever be. When they heard the news about titans being human levi was the one feeling like a murderer. did you see his face at that moment, he was heartbroken. In contrast to that reaction, we have Erwins. Erwin was happy that humanity had a break through and he didnt mind the victims that were spared for that cause. Im not saying that Erwins a bad person, i actually like his character a lot, but i am presenting him as a contrast to levis character. From that very last scene of episode 37, the differences between the two can be highlighted. Erwin cares more about finding the truth and saving humanity i  the long run, but Levi cares about every single casualty. And that is why i love levi frickin Ackerman
