i feel weird when people credit the hito hito no mi model nika for luffy’s good deeds because luffy isnt kind and frees people because of his devil fruit, he’s kind because its who he is &it’s the type of person he’s grown to be. its because luffy has these traits that his devil fruit chose him & he was able to awaken it

#I love g5 and the idea of Sun god Nika but that isn’t luffy #I think it’s entirely possible for luffy to be a good person and that be an entirely human &natural aspect of him #&I’m still under the belief zoan awakenings only happen once the user is fully in sync with the zoan #it’s more likely that luffy’s ideals just happened to match up with nika’s #but then again we aren’t even sure if Nika is real or just the personification of a collection of hopes and dreams #idk #does any of this make sense #one piece #yapping
