The living root bridges also known as jing kieng jri are Meghalaya's most famous attraction. They have been serving as connectors from ancient times. The living root bridges are hand made by the Khasi and Jaintia people by hand weaving aerial roots of the Rubber fig tree. These bridges can be redefined as ecosystems.
