To His Purpose

His message lately to me has been more than just somebody being empathetic, but as He truly does, knows me inside out. Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." "God is masterful in weaving events together for His glory, even if it is painful, challenging, or traumatic. When your world comes crashing down, keep your faith focused on God. He will not fail you. When your attention is focused on a solid rock, your perspective changes and the rest moves into your peripheral view. How can you stay focused on God when all else fails? Plant yourself in God's word. Be persistent in prayer. Confide in an accountability partner who is mature in their faith."

Trust the Lord

This was yesterday evening’s devotion and it truly describes my exact feelings. He indeed knows me so well..

Psalm 112:7 “They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.”

Sometimes, your head is able to trust God but your heart gets in the way. You know God loves you and has an awesome plan for you, but still your heart isn’t peaceful about it. We even try to control situations in life and we don’t leave room for God to step in or we don’t allow our hearts to step out in faith. If we are busy planning a failsafe, how will we ever notice God at work? Are you able to see the hand of God in your life because you have left room for Him to work?

Jesus looks inside our dark heart, beyond our not-so-lovely past, to whisper His perfect love is ours to receive, no matter how big our mess.
