We Are All One

So I was feeling particularly spiritual the other day and having noticed (as I'm sure many of you have) so much negativity being forced upon us, especially through social media, I decided to write a poem.

I haven’t written any poetry since I was at school so I would appreciate any feedback.

We are all one But they try to separate us, label us They say that we're different Race, religion, sex or sexuality We are all one Surrounded by negativity Through newspapers, television, social media My eyes reject the bitter words So much hate For what? If only they understood We are all one We belong to the Earth and the Earth is us I ask you Take a walk outside Breathe in the air Feel the grass beneath your feet Look Listen Appreciate We are all one
