I was four years old when I learned how to use the family VCR. It wasn't hard to figure out actually, just pop in the tape and push the buttons until I got the desired results. I subsequently broke it not soon thereafter  from over playing our Whitney Houston video compilation VHS tape.  Whitney was Black, beautiful and a star...I wanted to be her and so much more in 1988. May she continue to rest in peace.
