Ja’far nodded in agreement with Sinbad’s final decision, reaching into the inner chest pocket of his drabe to pull out that small white card that had the letters ‘L-5’ written upon it. “I was given a letter and a number as well. Maybe this is some sort of address or a room number, like that of an inn.”
Feeling significantly more relaxed to have his old and trusted friend with him, the chancellor found it much easier to think clearly without worrisome thoughts grasping for his attention. Any shred of familiarity in a strange world like this was something worth holding on to. At least now he more or less had a job to do, which came as a completely different sort of relief since he could never stand to be idle for too long.
“It seems we will have to walk from here. I have heard of these large carriages that seem to pull themselves, but I don’t think they would allow you to ride them looking like that.” The less Sinbad was out of the public eye, the better.
He couldn't help but glance around some. It was embarrassing, but even though there were eyes on him, he didn't really seem to feel it as much as he thought he possibly would. Being naked wasn't really that bad, anyways, considering it felt like he started off all his adventures with just a fig leaf as his friend. Either way, clothing was still going to be a comfort to have (and much warmer, at that) that he wouldn't deny, at this point in time.
He just settled on reaching forward, expression softening as a hand rested on the shorter's shoulder to give a small squeeze. Things were going to be alright, and he had to assure him somehow or another when this time, his power wasn't really playing a factor in whether or not things would be as nice as he wanted them to be. Not that things were going to take some getting used to, on his part, as well, because it was a strange feeling to be in a land where you WEREN'T king.
He just kept his smile, removing his hand and motioning towards one of the carts. Maybe if there was a way to tell the cart their location needed, it'd go towards it.
"I'm sure these don't have too much recognition to how I look. Maybe we should see if we can take one? It seems a bit easier and less embarrassing than walking through the streets to our destination."
