♚ a thing of the past.
Magnificent, the first word that popped into the mind of the young Baskerville. A red car glinted brilliantly in the street as she strode forward, eyeing the reflection she cast in the stainless windows of the structures which towered over her small figure. Had she not understood the concept of traveling though time she would be in utter disbelief. It had been her misunderstanding of just what these things were that would get her in trouble, heels clicking along the sidewalk. Mind drifted from the flickering stoplights warning her not to tread further, mesmerized entirely.
“ I wonder what all this — “
Horns blared as a car zoomed passed her, bangs fluttering around her as she took a few steps back in bewilderment. Dazed, she could only look up to see another metallic beast come flying toward her with an unyielding speed. Like a deer in the headlights, all she could do was stand and brace herself before the tug on her arm yanked her from the path of impact. A shoe slid from her foot from the jolt as a car sped over it. Stumbling with coral hues shut tight, she found herself against the one who had yanked her from a near accident.
A moment passed, vision reluctantly returned as she gave a timid glance at her saviour. Thankful as she was, there had only been one thought that had occurred to her before any form of gratitude.
“ Why did you help me?! You could have gotten hit by those… w-whatever those are! “
Of all the things the scientists could do, this was completely unexpected for the Fanalis. Walking about the city as she usually did, a pink haze began to surround the area and soon enough, her point of view changed drastically, once being able to see farther and higher now dropping to a smaller height, distance covered by each step gradually growing littler as her legs became shorter.
Noticing that something was definitely wrong at last, the girl stopped, looking around and at herself, seeing her shortened state, her smaller hands, feeling her muscles grow just a tad weaker, her hair shorter. Finally, she passes a halted car, seeing her own reflection on the shiny metal surface -- seeing a younger version of herself.
Eyes widened as she patted her own face with her hands, realizing that she had definitely become younger, and her first thought was to blame the scientists.
What caught her attention next was the sight of another older than she, a released gasp only heard by herself as a car sped by, relief next to settle in as she notices the other safe and unhit. However, much to the young Fanalis' confusion, the woman didnt seem to see the danger, once again stepping out onto the open street -- as she had retained her memories of the city, she knew well how dangerous those machines were and the kind of damage it could sustain on a person if hit; though her short legs slowed her movement by just a little, Morgiana darted forward as fast as she could, reaching out for the other's arm and pulling them back towards the sidewalk.
Carefully, she catches herself, as well as the other from falling over as she digs her feet into the ground, firmly gripping Lotti's arm to ensure she wouldn't step out again. She had to tilt her head upwards to properly see the other, though her question brought the young Fanalis to pout and her eyebrows to furrow.
"You were in danger," she responds; her own, small and timid-sounding voice surprises her, though it was to be expected in the form she was in now. "You could have gotten hit by it, too." Her grip loosens just a tad, gaze moving from the flattened shoe and Lotti's now-bare foot. "Are you unhurt? You will need a new pair of shoes."
