{Rhea was, for lack of a better word, a bleeding heart that gets into more trouble than it's worth. This is the same person who would help a demon, help a devil, help a traitor if it meant that she could help in some way. Naive didn't exactly cut it, there had to be another word for courage that was beyond the levels of naive. That being said, she's been through her fair share, but not as much as this world had been through.}
They're not perfect. People will look like static TV's to you. So, you may not know right away who they are, but you'll at least know something is there.
[ Charlie took the glasses as they were handed to him, feeling them in his hands before slipping them over the bridge of his nose. He still wore glasses sometimes. But these were obviously not any pair that he was used to. Blinked to clear his vision a bit before leveling his stare at her.
She was right in that things looked a bit staticy... In that way, it wasn't very different to the charm he had from Alanna which allowed him to detect auras. Didn't know if it was any more effective either... But at least it was an option. In case he ever lost the first one.
Which he didn't intend to do, but... You never knew. ]

I invented them! It took a bit of legwork, and a full moon, and the eyes of a thief, but it worked out. Took a little longer to make these than I originally intended, but once I made them, I never knew what to do with them. {She shrugged her shoulders and adjusted the glasses a little to have a look at them. Just in case she needed to modify how they fit.}
In any case, I'd say it's a success.
Rhea had woken up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. She even made breakfast for Merlin, herself, and Garreth. Garreth was surprised to see some youthful energy around the place, and it was bouncing off the walls in waves. Garreth turned to face Merlin with a whisper. "This spell. You sure we're ready to do this? The ritual calls for a lot of energy, and I'm not that experienced in what we're doing. She has a lot of faith in this."

Surely, they've caused a lot of nonsense in this timeline as well, but for some reason they seemed level. Again, nature of the job she supposed.}

[He could be a nasty little gremlin of awfulness at the drop of the hat, but he didn't always need to be. He was still a thinking and feeling creature with moods and motivations.]
Hm? Oh, no. A demon becomes. It is a transmutation of a being, always. Hell takes in a human soul, for example, and overtime it strips it down and converts it into a demonic being. Often they do not even remember who or what they were before--or if they do it is no more consequential than a distant dream. Takes a strong spirit to retain themselves.

I was originally an angel. I Fell. I embraced Hell. I became transmuted to a demon over a hundred years or so.
Some Fall, like Lucifer, and retain their original nature--stubbornly. All the same, the corruption corrodes, but they retain some of their celestial core.
I had no such desire.

Well, I definitely appreciate it. I'm living in an RV with a friend of mine and we just sort of...well.
{They got along. No doubt. Roka was a good roommate. The issue was how they both lived differently. Rhea liked the place a certain way. Roka liked the place a certain way. Sometimes they both clashed in that aspect without speaking outwardly about it.}
I just need my own space...but I'm not sure how long I'll be living in this world. I like it here, but it's different from my own.
I imagine if you plan to visit, it cannot hurt to hold a small property of your own, ultimately.

In my timeline they once called me Maya Genevieve Devang. I grew up different than the one of whom you know. I grew up with Merlin, trained under him, and learned much in the way of magic and alchemy and astronomy and anatomy. I promise I'm not some kind of... despicable devil of sorts.

His clawed feet still shifted uncomfortably and he did not get any closer. But he didn't outright posture aggressively either. Just remained in his stiff, slightly defensive stance. ]
Despicable devils tend t'not outright admit that they are devils. [ He rumbled, somewhat cautiously. A way of informing her that no, she did not automatically get his trust, just because she could name a few names and pose in familiarity. ]
In any case, my blindness doesn't have a cure.
[ And- he thought on it for a moment. Did not want to give away whatever semblance of hope for a cure that might be attributed to weakness. ]

{She took out some spectacles from her bag and laid them on the ground. She didn't do anything else as she took several steps back away from Charlie.}
Those glasses. I laid them there just in case you may want them. They don't see anything solid, physical, or anything of the sort. They just see people, ghosts, or otherwise things that may not always be easily seen. It may not even work for your condition, but I just can't leave without at least trying to see if it might.
{Rhea's eyes watered quite a bit. Tears ran down her cheeks as she started to leave carefully, and not wanting to cause a fight that would end with either of them hurt. The suspense was high. The tension strong.}

[ His ears detected the sounds of her movements and the item being left gingerly on the ground in front of him. He didn’t want any part of it, truthfully, but when she began to walk away and his keen hearing picked up her sniffles, Charlie couldn’t help but sigh.
Cautious as he was, he hadn’t meant to make her cry. And a part of him still was screaming internally that it had to be just another facet of the trick. Trying to play on his emotions.
Well- it worked. And despite his best efforts, he spoke to her as she walked away. Wouldn’t stop her physically, but at least had to spare some information in return for the apparent gift he was being left. ]
Look, I’ve been through a lot in the last year and it means I’m more careful about this kind of thing. You gotta understand how wildly suspicious you sound, dropping in out of nowhere, pretending you know me and offerin’ some magical cure.
[ He frowned, hoping she’d see things from his perspective. ]
It’s not exactly the norm. I can’t just say “okay” and pretend that ain’t gotten me in trouble in the past.
