It's amazing how one series can feature a sweet boy hiding beneath a mascot head because he has social anxiety and then another series features a boy hiding beneath a mascot head because he's miserable inside and doesn't want some stranger to see him sobbing while he's getting railed in every possible direction.
It was a horny week in the bl series universe, but payback actually made me blush. Well done sirs, well done!

I think what ofdo lacks (for now at least), comparing to first season, is the law breaking.
Oh he is back
So everyone in Shine the Series has their own stage to actually shine. For Thanwa is the stage he is singing on,for Trin his podium or presentations, for Krailert when he is in front of the cameras announcing something for Naran his writing, and for Dhevi is all her little moments that go unnoticed apart from Veera. And for Victor...the protests, his last speech, his very own, very last, very shinnying moment.
That was what made his death unavoidable. Thanwa could never convince him, even if he told him everything his father told him, even if he told him that he could be targeted. Even if he told those things to Trin, they could never be able to stop Victor from being there. Because Victor was a brave, idealist young man who could never betray his fellow protesters and be a coward by quitting out of fear for his life. He was always meant to be a comet, to shine brightly before his death. And that's both foolish and admirable.
Wish I got his chill
I like this series, it seems realistic. A long time ago I watched an italian neorealism movie called The Bicycle Thief (not sure if that's the right English translation of the title). The ending was surprising, no magical solution, no catharsis, just life. I get the same vibe from Shine.
How did he end up with that particular superstition?

Placing Kai into the shadow, while Fuma is bathed in light. But Kai is enveloped by the white background, and Fuma is half into the grey. There must be some symbolism hiding here.
I mean I don't know if it was done intentionally, insinuating Kai's trauma.

Three episodes to finish the series,and for now, I'm gonna say that while I enjoy binge watching and it does feel like a lengthy movie... releasing all eps together kinda stole something from the experience. The series is beautiful, and I'm looking for ways to buy the book because I want to know more about the thoughts of the character, but... But I wanted it to last longer, I wanted the discourse while watchers were on the same page, I wanted the building of tension and heartbreak... to ponder over it, you know?
