Mew picks up on the fifth ring. "Ray," he says, sounding tired... and sad. "I don't want to—" "Mew, listen," Sand interrupts. "It's Sand. I'm calling from Ray's phone because I didn't have your number." He takes a deep breath. "There's been an accident." Mew inhales sharply. "What?!" "Mew, is it Ray? Do you want me to talk to him?" Top's voice says from a distance on the other end of the line, and Sand almost tells him to shut up before he realizes that Mew would be the one to hear it instead.
