Easter is coming up! And itβs a terrible time for pet store bunnies!
Rabbits are marketed as βeasyβ, short-lived, starter pets, especially during the Easter holidays, but that couldnβt be farther from the truth! A healthy, well cared for bunny can live just as long as the average cat or dog- 10-12 years!
Whatβs more, they have more complex needs than a cat or a dog. Rabbits are prey animals and do not behave or show affection in the same way as predators like cats and dogs; they donβt deal well with being outside-only animals; they can get sad if theyβre on their own and donβt receive enough attention; and if theyβre bought as a male and female couple, they can start reproducing from as early as 5-6 months of age, and they can carry multiple litters at the same time!
They have a specialised diet (NOT carrots!), need a specialised living area (unless you want all your things to get chewed up!), and they need specialised vets! Caring for them costs as much as caring for a dog!
Theyβre a big responsibility!

iβm most likely abandoning this blog.
something about tumblrβs endless scrolling and fantastic ability to pick fights with everyone and everything appealed to me initially. but then i left, and since then... my mental health has improved 1000%.
and although i enjoy shitposting, you kinda have to do it every day to get popular. and i donβt have the mental capacity to do that! (itβs important to know your limits!)
i know right now with covid is really scary, especially for my friends in the more infected countries. and thatβs kind of why iβm leaving. iβve moved on, and i want to find out more about what i like to do, and then do it. quarantine can either get you super depressed, or you can use the extra time youβve got (if youβre lucky to be working remotely) to actually, yβknow, do stuff. (shocking i know)
iβll still log in once a year or that crap if i remember so tumblr doesnβt just up delete this blog, and if i get REALLY bored i *might* come back for a day, but other than that, considering this blog already hadnβt been getting notes while i was actually active, iβm probably not coming back.
