after the loss of her entire family, any interest wanda had to be included in any of the various celebrations and customs around this time of year completely vanished. "what, and miss having to trudge through muddy snow to get anywhere, hearing all of the peace, joy, and love people have for each other," her response came sarcastically, a well timed honk and some colorful words to follow giving her the perfect example. "how could I deprive myself of that," she asked with a laugh.

ooc. You know that whole thing in Inside Out, where the memories dull, and the islands that shaped the person collapse into the abyss and new ones take their place? I know I read a lot when I was a child. My friends were books, pretty much, and I was hit with the realization that I don’t remember a lot of the books I used to read. I thought those books basically ended up like Bing Bong. They faded from my memory completely. And then I remembered Mrs. Piggle Wiggle and how the radish cure actually did stay with me throughout the years. I didn’t completely forget after all. Even though the island representing my love of books went away, it influenced what took its place so it’s still with me even if I don’t actively remember it.

i mean this with all the love in the world, but y'all seriously need to start engaging with the people on your dashboard.

i'm calling out everyone here, even myself. it's a widespread attitude in the rpc that's contributing majorly to this place growing more and more inactive.

"teehee i'm a forgetful rper, keep sending me things while i reply to nothing ever" doesn't cut it.

yes, you're forgetful and tired and busy and dealing with health issues. i get that. but you're not the only one dealing with those things. your mutuals are busy and tired and dealing with health conditions too.

it's unreasonable to expect everyone else to keep reaching out to you when you don't reciprocate.

check your dms every now and then, try to contribute to conversations about plotting, send memes and reply to the memes that people send to you.

stop sitting and waiting passively for everyone to reach out first and realize everyone else is doing the same thing.

it's frustrating and exhausting (and frankly disrespectful) to the handful of people in the rpc that do actively try to reach out to others and engage.

and i could go on a tangent on how people writing certain type of muses can get away with doing this because they have people flocking to them wanting to rp (and let's be real, ship) with their muse while people writing other kind of muses have to put 1000% times more work just to get people to reply to their dms. but i'm going to leave it at that.

just take a moment to reflect on this and try to do better.

we all need to do better.

ooc. New rule. If I send messages to plot and then see live posts complaining about how “no one wants to write. it’s impossible to get interactions” on the dash minutes, hours, or days after my attempts to contact specifically for plotting go ignored, I will hard block. I refuse to have that kind of disrespect around me.

ooc. New rule. I’m gonna send out prompts whether anyone wants them or not. I can’t keep posting interaction calls and only get responses from the three to four people I already have interactions with (I adore each of you btw and can’t thank you enough for actively wanting to write with me), especially considering my mutuals are eleven times that amount. This is a no ghost zone. I will call the Ghostbusters on this. That’s how serious I am.
