@trekmystars
ok so hear me out
This is something experimental (I didnât even want to post it here), no well thought out concept here, I was working on appearances only. Star Trek universe actually has their own elf/dwarf like races (the episode with Spockâs dad), but how could I pass by klingons.
I remembered about targs.
Here is my not so good attempt to make this AU. From the summer, and I disliked it, it doesnât work Ê ïč· áŽ„ ïč·Ê
Silver Q - (finally!) A one shot from "Hello, My Dear"
âYouâre about two hundred years too early to be wearing that outfit,â he drawls, referring to your mid-24thcentury uniform. He lifts an eyebrow. âOr a billion years too late depending on which side of the timeline youâre from. Who are you?âÂ
âJust me,â you answer simply, raising one shoulder in a shrug.Â
He scrutinizes you a second time, growing irritated. You are not a Q, or one of those insufferable, insouciant Travelers. Aside from the El Aurian, youâre as pathetically human as everyone else on this odious planet. Yet somehow you are less-than-human, and moreâŠmore. There is an undefinable quality about you that suggests you have been alive far longer than you appear. But stranger still is your undeniably affectionate smile. No one ever looks at him affectionately. And now that itâs happening, he is not entirely sure if he likes it. It means that you know his secrets and where all the skeletons are buried and may have even helped him dispose of one or two.Â
Youâve picked up his newspaper and started skimming the headlines, and blink in surprise when he plucks it out of your hands.Â
âAnswer me,â he barks. âWho. Are. You?â
You musingly tilt your head, mulling over the question. âHow did you put it? An adorably harmless angel of death?â
His face twists. He cannot afford the luxury of squandering his powers on putting a maybe-mortal upstart in her place, but pride gets the better of him. Teeth clenched, he snaps his fingers (successfully, this time) and whisks you both to a more secluded area.Â
Silver Q - A Hello, My Dear One-shot
Hello, My Dear - Stories of the life and times of Q and his mortal more-than-just-a-friend, Ensign Reader. Because being omnipotent doesnât mean a thing when it comes to relationships.
I CAN FINALLY POST THIS !!!!!
Sooooo I've made a Star trek picrew for you OC and avatar needs :)
Star trek OC/avatar maker. Include multiple alien species. ăčăżăŒăăŹăăŻăźăăŁă©ăŻăżăŒăšăąăăżăŒăĄăŒă«ăŒăăăă€ăăźăšă€ăȘăąăłăźçšźăć«ăŸăăŠăăŸăă. Author: https://star-trek-dumb-c
I've made it so that you can play with multiple species (in total, human, klingon, cardassian, bajoran, ferengi, andorian, aenar, denobulan, vulcan, romulan, trill, orion and android), mix and match things ! This is a beta release, so to speak, so it's not perfect, but I'm gonna add stuff to it in the future (especially backgrounds, I find it really lacking there but I have been working on this for SO LONG I couldn't add anything more rn)
Yeah like I just said this took me a whole month and a half to do, working on it on nearly all of my free time. And trust me, it was a chore. You don't know true pain if you haven't spent whole afternoons just exporting PNGs. So yeah I really hope people use this lol, don't hesitate to share !
You can use as an icon, edit and change the background if you want, just tag me where you use it :D (or just to show me what you made. I'd love to see your characters !)
Also feel free to suggest stuff to improve or add, I already have a few things planned for the next version but I'm open to ideas. Also tell me if anything doesn't work properly. Some parts can look jenky at first but most of them are movable so you should be able to make everything work. (fyi some parts are obviously not meant to work together, like half the haircuts and klingon ridges)
Have fun !

Happy almost-birthday, "Hello, My Dear!" Here's a snippet from the next one-shot...
He angrily knifes his gaze into yours, but instead of looming before you, tall, dark, and terrible, he is the one who begins to drown. Your eyes â your familiar, guileless eyes â bathe him in a warmth heâs not felt sinceâŠ
The blood drains from his face, leaving his skin the colour of chalk.Â
âYou,â he gasps. âItâs â itâs you. But â I lost you.â He falters, suddenly doubting the countless millennia spent trying to forget. âDidnât I?â
Your smile is as sweet as he remembers -- and he remembers. The sight of you, you, not merely a fever dream that he has long since buried away, tips his memories violently on end and flings him back to the night he had left you behind.

Computer, What Are the Dimensions of an Average-Sized Sheet Cake? - A new one shot from "Hello, My Dear"
âWhy do you want to come to Captain Picard Day?â you asked curiously. âItâs not going to be very exciting, just the kids giving him a few presents, and then cake and ice cream.â
Q spun his chair to face you and crossed one lanky leg over the other, smirking. âSo what youâre saying is that thereâs oodles of opportunity to liven things up.âÂ
âYeah,â you admitted. âAnd Iâm sure youâve got plenty of bright ideas.â
âAlways,â he boastfully declared, âbut I fail to see any merit in gilding the lily with my genius when the flower in question is nothing more than a garden variety weed. I do have an offer, however.â
A chefâs hat appeared on top of his head, perched at a rakish angle.
âLet me bake the cake.â
The smile immediately dropped from your face.
âNo.â You adamantly shook your head, already envisioning a hundred different disasters scenarios. His definition of âcakeâ could span anything from stale petit fours to a gagh trifle the size of a planet.Â
âWhy not?â he protested.
âBecause I donât trust you to not do anything weird!â you exclaimed. âAnd Commander Data is making the cake anyway, so it doesnât matter.â
âIs it a crime to have two cakes at a party?â
âNo, but ââ
âOh, Ensign, give me a chance,â he coaxed, putting on his sincerest face. The hat disappeared, and he swept forward from his chair and onto one knee before you, obsequiously gathering your hands into his. âIâll be good. Truly I will. Please?â

I Haven't the Vaguest Idea What You're Talking About - another Hello, My Dear one-shot
I Haven't the Vaguest Idea What You're Talking About
He was on his way to pay 1994 a visit when he decided to take a brief detour and drop by the Enterprise. (To check on the frogs, not you). If he happened to run into you in the process, so be it â he was ready to resume closing arguments whenever you were.
He had not, however, been ready to find Reginald Barclay queasily depositing crickets into the terrarium upon his arrival.
Several minutes were spent in furious contemplation from inside your lava lamp.
One, how did Barclay have access to your quarters?
Two, why was he feeding your frogs?
Three, what were the odds of you not figuring out who had turned him into an Altarian dung beetle?
Poor, he concluded, watching Barclayâs tiny legs frantically peddle the air in a desperate attempt to flip himself back over. The odds were very, very poor.
Scowling, he had restored the holodeck sycophant back into bipedal form, deposited him on the doorstep of Engineering for Geordi LaForge to deal with and went straight to back to where he'd left you.

((Very small apologetic voice: also I have a print shop))
The Suckerâs Luck plot gremlins are recalcitrant little sh*ts, so here's another one-shot from "Hello, My Dear"
That Wasn't the Actual Question
The wheels in Qâs head spun at warp speed as he puzzled over your reasoning, fumbling his way through the process of trying to see a situation from someone else's perspective.
(You had given him step-by-step instructions. Step One: Donât provoke the Borg. Step Two: Starting every sentence with 'you mortalsâ is insulting, so stop doing it. *Please see the accompanying definition of what does and does not constitute âinsulting.â Step Three: If you have reached Step Three, come and get me because there is the very real possibility you are about to start a land war in Asia. Step Four: Bring bloodwine.)
His eyes widened.
âThatâs why you were crying,â he realized.
âWhy else did you think I was crying?â you asked blankly.
He arched an eyebrow.
âI had assumed they were tears of joy, of course.â

Hello, My Dear - Chapter Seven
âThen why not now?â That petulant half-whine in his voice was back â as usual, he heard what you had told him, but he wasnât listening. âItâs as good a time as any, not to mention spares me from having to constantly worry about you tripping over a warp coil or catching a disease.â
God, how could anyone omniscient be this dumb?
On a good day, Q possessed the emotional maturity of a toddler. Dangle something shiny in his sight and he would pounce without a care for any other parties involved.
This had not been a good day.
You were exhausted, mind, body, soul. Ordinarily you had time to strategize the best approach of stuffing him into another personâs shoes (never mind making it seem like it was all his own idea in the first place), but you didnât have the energy to try and reason with an entity who at the first sign of the dreaded ânoâ would pack up his toys and go home.
Out of options, you resorted to cheap tactics and mercilessly deployed the deadliest weapon you had in your arsenal:
You burst into tears.

@witchcraftandwoofers đȘ âš (Hopefully youâll catch the Monty Python reference.)
âWhy did you change your mind?â you asked, baffled.
Q flashed a bitter smile.
âOh, it was simple, really â I was handed a double-edged sword, straight from the universe herself.â
âAâŠsword,â you echoed slowly, monotone.
He nodded.
âThe universe didnât happen to be a woman lying around in a pond, was she?â
He stiffened and threw you an irritated scowl.
âIâm speaking metaphorically,â he answered sourly. âAnd if you bring up ponds again, Iâll sink the Enterprise into a lake, and you had better hope Picard is more adept at fencing than he is with a fishing rod, or Mr. Data is going to be permanently waterlogged.â
Your headache was beginning to come back.
âHave you ever heard of the Kobayashi Maru?â
He thought a moment, temporarily forgetting his ire, and then shook his head.
âIâm pretty sure this is worse.â
Hello, My Dear
(Tags under cut, and I feel like I am missing someone who I forgot to tag last time and asked me to tag them. Aaarg.)
Does the Other Party in This Hypothetical Scenario Go By Some Form of Epithet, Identification, or Nomenclature?
Q seeks relationship advice from the Enterpriseâs resident expert: Data.
(Who else would he consult? Mr. Homn?)
âCommander Riker often uses gifts as a means of communicating his remorse to Counselor Troi after committing a transgression,â Data remarked.
Qâs eyes narrowed.
âGifts? What sort of gifts? Flowers? Chocolates? Promises he doesnât intend to keep?â
âI see you are already familiar with Commander Rikerâs style of gift-giving,â Data said, looking impressed.
Q let out a noncommittal hum and absently scratched Spot behind one ear.
âA trend I have also observed is that the scope of the perceived transgression often stands in direct correlation to the gift itself,â Data added, still trying to be helpful. âNot necessarily with regard to physical size, but rather grandiosity.â
âSo what youâre saying is if Riker made passionate love to Beverly in the middle of Sickbay under the guise of empirical research, giving Deanna ten chocolate sundaes as penance wouldnât cut it.â
âCorrect.â
âWhat about twenty chocolate sundaes?â
Data started to answer, paused in thoughtful consideration, then shook his head again.
âI believe twenty chocolate sundaes would also be insufficient.â

Snippet from the next chapter of âHello, My Dearâ
âWhat do you want?â he asked softly. Â
Abject vulnerability was an odd expression to see on his face, but he wore it well. Â
âTo be with you,â you told him simply.
The breath left him in a sharp exhale.
âYou have me,â he said readily. âFor as long as you like.â Â
âHowever long it takes to make an honest Q out of you, right?â you teased, feeling silly.
âA thousand lifetimes,â his reply was instant, âat least.â
The bulk of so many of your conversations were built on sarcasm, and you were unpracticed at sifting through these rare instances of bare-faced honesty. Â
This wasnât one of those moments. He was serious. Â
