New Moon in Sagittarius 11/29/16
There will be a New Moon in Sagittarius on Tuesday, November 29th at 7:18am EST. Sagittarius season is about understanding - we are drawn to knowledge that will help shape our path, towards things that will enrich our life with meaning. The New Moon is a time for both ending and beginning - we go inward into the darkness in order to rest and recuperate. We could think of this New Moon in Sagittarius as going through customs at the airport - it’s time to make a big journey in our lives but first we must check our baggage and let go of the things that would restrict us. It is time to grow large - to expand, to open up. And we are given the chance to relinquish the past, and to see that the future holds much promise.
With Saturn and Mercury also in Sagittarius at this time, we are serious about our studies, whether we’re in school or not - we are learning through whatever medium is best-suited to us. The house placement of this New Moon (and of Sagittarius) will show you what area of life you will feel the effects in, what area of life helps you expand. We are craving a new adventure, whether its literal travel or a journey of the mind. Sagittarius represents the spiritual quest and the guru - we may be looking for teachers at this time, or stepping into our own teaching capacity.
Overall this is a time for letting go of anything that holds you back from freedom. We need to channel our inner Sagittarius in order to see the bigger picture and to allow ourselves the freedom we desire. It is a time for optimism and enthusiasm. We open ourselves up to new opportunities, ones that will fulfill us. We can take one step further on our own spiritual journey, knowing the universe will guide us forward. Sagittarius grasps the world in symbols and mythology, you may want to understand the mythos of your life at this time in order to detach from the mundane and grow large.
Neptune went direct on November 19th and hopefully you have felt the fog lift. We are lifted out of the unconscious a little and can see more clearly.
Chiron will go direct on December 1st. This will be a good change - June 27th marked the beginning of the retrograde and the past few months have been a time of deep healing. In the sign of Pisces it may have all been happening on an unconscious level, or it was a healing of unconscious wounds.
