WEEKEND (2011) dir. Andrew Haigh
@pattyextras
voiceofmany:
“You live here?” Wallace looked around, completely ignoring the kid’s hand. “Who lets you live here? Are you lying? Are you squatting here?” Apparently Bellflower was going to be a bit more interesting than he expected, if they just gave kids free reign over a building.
…no, Wallace wasn’t jealous.
“Oh, sorry.” He grabbed Hibiki’s hand and shook it firmly. “Wallace Wells, nice to meet you. What do you do here, anyway?” He paused. “Maybe it’d be better to ask what do I do here…”
“Oh it’s nothing like that.” he laughed, clearly not offended at all.”I just stay in the back room. I got kicked out and moved here shortly after. The owner just kinda felt bad so he gave me the empty back room. I can’t do jack around the shop except work.” He explained, shaking his hand before putting his hands in his pockets. “We basically keep an eye on everything, keeping it clean and helping customers.”
voiceofmany:
Wallace might have a hangover, but at least his hair was combed. He scratched the back of his neck as he sauntered into his new…work away from work. Yep. Looked like a general store. How boring. His eyes had just wandered to the bell on the counter - ooh! - and his hand hovered over it when someone suddenly appeared, rubbing his eyes and looking like he’d maybe just rolled out of bed.
“I see my reputation precedes me.” Wallace leaned into the counter, flashing a grin. “That may be me, yes. You work here? Or just sleep in the back when no one else is around?”
“I work and live here.” Hibiki responded, stretching a bit. “Hibiki Kuze.” He said, extending his hand. “Nice to meet you.” He greeted, before giving the other a smile.
@voiceofmany
Hibiki opened the door from his back room to the store, yawning as he did. He blinked when he heard someone else moving in the store before going to check it out. When he saw the other, he blinked a few more times. “..... Are you the new guy working here I was told about?” He asked, rubbing his eyes.
Like this for a Bellflower Valley starter! members only!
pattyextras:
“Alright?” Yamato blinks in surprise at his forwardness, shoving his phone back into his pocket and allowing himself to follow his Hibiki’s lead. Was that so unusual?
“Okay so normally people do special meals for their birthdays so... What do you want to eat?” He asked, looking at the other, awaiting his answer.
pattyextras:
“Funny, when I see it I think of you as well.” He says. He pulls out his phone and begins to attach the charm to it. It.. looked odd on a work phone, but he’ll always have it this way.
At his question he paused. “I can’t say, This first time I’ve actively celebrated it… Is there something people usually do on birthdays?”
Celebrating his own birthday actively sounded so.. foreign.
“You’ve....” He blinked in surprise. “That’s it. We’re celebrating. Right now. Come on.” He said, grabbing Yamato’s hand and pulling him out of the room.
@pattyextras
“I saw it and thought of you.” He smiled, looking up at the other and poking his cheek. “What do you want to do today? I’m not letting ou do all this paperwork on your birthday!”
@pattyextras
Hibiki winced slightly as they walked. He looked towards the taller male and gave a weak smile. “Uh... humans... I got mugged on the way back.... Lost my lunch and the money I had on me.... They didn’t take anything else though.” He explained. He looked back down. “It was... kinda a shock....”
mind-of-a-tool-heart-of-a-girl:
Peko nodded in greeting, unable to really smile considering the circumstances. “Hello. I wish our first meeting face to face was in better circumstances.” She kept her words brisk and even, she had to stay calm. “Ready?”
With a shaking hand, she gingerly pushed open the door and was greeted with… a very clean room. There was next to nothing in here but that in itself caught her attention. There were just enough hints that the room had been used.
“He cleaned himself off in here…”
Hibiki looked around the room, looking in the stalls, anywhere. “......... This room’s too clean.....” He remembered all the times he’d seen dead bodies from the demon attacks. This room was too clean. He went to look around more, checking if he missed anything.
@mind-of-a-tool-heart-of-a-girl
Hibiki walked towards where he knew the girl to be, gripping the hem of his jacket as he did. He shook his head and quickly walked over. He simply followed the blood trail until he saw her. “Hey.....”
pattyextras:
He frowns, nodding slowly. It was as he thought, and an answer he readily agreed with. He didn’t like how… powerless this situation left him, unable to fight back and simply escape.
“Indeed. I’m just relieved I’m here to watch over you, limited as I am at the moment…. I Promise, I will protect you, and we will escape this place together.” He asserts with a gentle confidence. “I promise.”
“I believe you....” He whispered, looking at the other and giving a small smile. “If anyone can get us out of here... I know you can.” He felt no doubt the other could figure something out. When it came down to it, Hibiki acted more on his heart than head. Yamato outranked him in the brains department when it came to planning things out.
@tremegestas liked for a starter!
To say Yamato has rarely been more then 10 feet away from the hooded boy at any given time was no exaggeration. This entire situation, lacking their phones…. He didn’t like this.
“How’re you feeling?” He could hazard the answer, but still felt the need to ask.
He couldn’t lie to Yamato. These past few days had been hell for him. He didn’t have his phone, so his demons were out of the question. Neither did Yamato. They were stuck here with no way out. “....Could be a lot better....” He responded before looking at Yamato. “At least you’re here.... even though that’s bittersweet....”
