Let's go on an adventure! [ Henry | Anna ]

Henry kept the crows around him as he stayed quiet. He kept hidden the fact a Risen had stabbed him since he didn’t mind the pain but she would have him fall back. He didn’t want to stop as it had been a while since he fought and he wanted to enjoy it plus this time he was fighting for a fairly nice reason. Not a war but to help a friend. His crows separated as more Risen came at him and he changed his tome and cast Thoron. “Did you get what was needed?” He asked without turning back to her.

"Yes." Anna answered, swiftly slicing another Risen in half. "Do you want to clear out now? Or shall we decimate this band of zombies?"

Henry seemed to be enjoying all this.

Let's go on an adventure! [ Henry | Anna ]

Henry grinned as he looked over at Anna and nodded at her. Once he was sure she was ready Henry cast a hex on a few of the Risen causing them to start attack the others. With the confusion started Henry stepped out surrounded by the crows which helped mask his movement. He then took out his tome and started to cast several fire spells, giving more than enough of a distraction for Anna.

Anna took off the moment Henry started firing off spells. She trusted that the Dark Mage would hold his own. The energy source seemed to be located on the second floor of the house instead - with all the Risen occupied, she was able to deploy her grapple.

The crossbow bolt fired the hook up and around a beam - hopefully it was secure - and Anna swiftly scaled the broken wall, leaping up onto the second floor -

- oh.

The energy source was in the shape of a tetrahedron, and purple lightning criscrossed its surface. This was a pretty strong source - though with her high resistance to magic, Anna wasn't affected that much.

Retrieving a net from her pocket, she quickly looped it over the object.

One second. Two seconds.

The net did not detonate. So it was safe. She tied off the ends, then abseiled down the wall. Henry was covered by a flock of crows - impressive - but otherwise he seemed fine.

The containment unit in her bag would safely prevent the Risen from sensing the cube. After depositing the object in her bag, Anna rushed to the Mage's side.

"Impressive!" She shouted to Henry as she sidestepped a Risen's blow. The zombie was beheaded with a quick slash.

“Well…First off I am going to get closer. Then once I am close enough I am going to hex one to start fighting his brethren and blow up stuff on the other side. While I do that I should have most of the attention. See if you want me to make the magic a tome I need to clear the area and if it is a dark tome I will need some of the Risen bodies.”

"We'll decide what to do with the energy source later. I"ll go snatch the thing, and you'll cover me. Alright?" Anna set her backpack down behind a rock, safely behind blast radius. "Let's go." She grinned. This was the fun part!

The Risen took no notice of the duo until they were almost upon the ruined house. There were around a few dozen of them, no more than fourty, but all armed.

“Ohh a shiny. I want to get the shiny.” Henry said with a grin as he looked around and a crow landed on his shoulder. “There are a few of them. More than I can count on one hand….I may need to start with a hex before I start blowing them up.” He said as he listened to his crow.

"Alright." Anna nodded, unsheathing her Killing Edge. "Usually I would just grab the thing and run... but you have magic. Tell me what you are planning to do."

“Ah. Well.. this is very sweet of you, Anna, and I’d thank you a thousand times over.. but I do not wish to be annoying…” And she wouldn’t be able to get past the second thank you.

She was having a hard enough time talking as freely as she did enough as it is, and she hoped that she could keep talking like this. It didn’t help that she was also not in the mood to be around anyone, but she couldn’t refuse her even after she went as far as to make her a cake. No. that’s not very polite.

Anna chuckled. "Ah, you're not annoying at all. I should be the one asking whether I'm disturbing you, yeah?"

The merchant straightened up. "Eh, if you'd want to stay here by yourself, that's perfectly fine. I just need the plate back, gotta return it to the camp kitchen." She said with a cheerful smile.

Henry was still smiling as he looked at her. “Ohh not worried about me. I mean if something happen I will just hex them to death but after being in Chrom’s army I actually worry about the friends I made since it is the first time I had human friends.”

Anna frowned slightly. "Eh, I'm the only one coming with you. And don't you worry about me, yeah? I can take care of myself perfectly fine."

She stopped abruptly, stretching out a hand so that Henry would stop next to her. "We're here."

There was a smouldering ruin in the distance. Smoke rose out from dying embers, and Risen could be seen milling around the broken beams. Most of them congrengated to one side of the house, and on the other side a door lay ajar, revealing a purple light from within.

“Ahh. Still this may be one time I am unsure we are going to get this so easily. Normally I am eager at the fact I may get to hex people but I dunno. I feel this may be one time I will have my tome at the ready…..Or maybe I am just hungry.”

Anna tilted her head. "Hey, trust me. I've done this a lot before. It ain't hard... but you gotta be fast. Don't worry, I'll keep an eye out for you!"

“You think we will be the only ones there? I mean if this is some good stuff there I doubt we would be the only people after it.” He said as he looked over at Anna again.

"We-e-e-ll, that's because it's usually too dangerous. Would you want to be swarmed by Risen?" Anna raised an eyebrow. "Okay, maybe you would, but normal villagers wouldn't. Plus, the magic's miasma would ward away all but the most resistant of people."

“Aww that is no fun. Now you know my saying I will hex you is all in jest.” He said as this smile was a bit different. He was not used to being so trusted by another so much though wondered how she got that information on him. “So how did you get a tip on this interesting loot?”

Anna tilted her head. "Oh, it first started as hearsay, but a sister of mine verified its truthfulness." That was pretty much true. "We merchants have to stay ahead of the crowd, so to speak."

Henry nodded as he hummed a bit. “Well gee that is a nice thing to say. Some may say you are wrong.” He said as he looked over at Anna. “I would like to know how you think I am a good guy your you are a nice person Anna. Maybe a bit one tracked but nice all the same.”

"Well, you ain't evil, for one. Just curious. Other people may doubt the sincerity of your smile, but I can tell that your happiness is genuine." She tossed the mage another wink. "And don't ask me how I know that, it's a secret~"

“…..Who are you? ” Two of the people were vaguely familiar to the swordsman, however the burly man was not. The one thing he memorized was that one was the future child of their companions, the woman being a merchant. Whatever the case, he was forgetful at times when it came to both, but hoped they would know well to keep their distance, especially the woman

Okay, so this probably wasn't a good idea. If she was correct, the mercenary was afraid of women.

And Anna was a woman. Welp.

She simply watched Lon'qu from a distance, contemplating how to overcome this obvious barrier in communication.

Henry nodded. “Seems I am the only one.” He said as he smiled. “Will you tell me why you wanted me to come? Not to beat a dead horse but last I checked we didn’t chat much when we served prince blue hair. Most rather keep me at an arms length while being my friend.”

Anna tilted her head. "Like I've said. I'm not picky, I'd settle for any company as long as they're not too extreme. Plus, you're a good guy, I can see that." There was a pause. "Either way, you're pretty cheerful. That's a good thing."

“Ahh so you do love more than money.” Henry said with a smile as he stretched a bit while they walked. “What is your favorite food? Got any medical problems like me?”

"I bake. I think that's pretty obvious. But I ain't picky about food - after all, if you can eat it, that qualifies as okay for me." Anna tilted her head. "Eh, guess I'm probably a normal person health-wise. Haven't noticed any problems, if that counts."
