Art is Tricky

I'm a chronic doodler who just decided I need to challenge myself to do more with art, starting with a drawing a day.

Now that Inktober is over, I think I’ll take it easy for a few days and work on my painting. In the meantime, I’ll continue to post whatever shows up in my sketchbook, without being too fussy about it. ;)

Happy Halloween! This concludes my Inktober 2017.

What did I learn from the challenge? It was a lot harder than I thought, but it encouraged me to explore drawing with with ink more. Next time, I might not double down on the challenge by focusing on Halloween themed images for every day, but that decision is eleven months away, so I have some time to consider my options. ;)

I can’t seem to make up my mind on whether I like drawing “cute” or “horrible”. “Horrible” won out, this time. I was thinking about Linus’ obsession with The Great Pumpkin in Peanuts and then started wondering what The Great Old Pumpkin might look like. I know, I’m weird... :p
