Anya was quick to try and help her to shift her position, hands gentle on her even as she brushed her fingertips over her cheek slowly.  Her eyes closed as she leaned into her kiss with a small smile, smiling into her kiss as she drew her close gently.  “Under your skilled care, and my ability to stare things into submission, I’m sure they will heal very quickly,” she said in amusement, “I know you will.  Neither one of us will accept otherwise.”

Anya let her eyes flutter closed for a moment, tucking her face against her forehead to press a kiss to the skin there.  “That is a very good point,” Anya grumbled softly, arms flexing around her protectively for a moment, “I’m not a fan of you getting kidnapped.  I like it better when you’re here with me...unharmed.”  Anya let her fingertips brush over her cheek gently, tipping her face upwards to meet her eyes as she looked at her.  “Then they aren’t worthy to lead.  A leader should never ask something of their people they aren’t willing to do themselves, first.”

Chuckling quietly, Anya let her hand sweep over her shoulder slowly, gently drawing the blonde into her hold.  “That wouldn’t be very practical of me,” Anya teased her gently, “But maybe a good armored coat and a medical satchel would be more useful to you.”  Anya couldn’t help the quiet look as Clark spoke, trying to comprehend their culture for a moment.  “That seems...wasteful.”

Anya paused thoughtfully before giving her a small smile, raising her eyebrows as she looked down at her with a fond look.  “So you have.  Guess that means I really should start bringing you courting gifts of my own then,” Anya murmured into her mouth, hand cupping her cheek gently as she sank into her kiss with a hum.  “There is nothing wrong with that.  It just means you have many years before you.”

Lexa wordlessly met Anya’s eyes when she admitted that her desire for privacy also helped in making the situation less awkward and hurtful. She couldn’t disagree. As much as she respected and even loved Clarke, the thought of her with Anya was still unfamiliar. It was difficult to imagine them together. Even harder to think of their shared kisses, whispered admissions of love. She hated herself for being jealous instead of being able to move on. Lexa knew there was more to life than romantic love and that what she shared with Anya was more than that. But it didn’t mean she didn’t miss that kind of intimacy. She looked down at the other woman’s hand on the panther. “Do you think so?”

Anya let her fingers slowly card through the fur of the small cub as Lexa obviously processed everything.  While she would love to have been able to say that Lexa was back to being her usual strong self, they both knew that it would take time.  Much more time.  But Anya intended to be there every step of the way, however.  Because as far as she’s concerned they were family before they were lovers, and she held a responsibility to that, despite the love she felt for both the women in her life.  It was a nightmare of a situation, loving two women and having to choose.  Even if she managed to dodge a bullet when Lexa took her choice away.  “I don’t see why you couldn’t.  It’s young,” Anya said before flashing a quick grin, “Then again, it could just eat your face off one night too.  Never know.”

Anya let her fingers slowly skim down the other woman’s cheek and neck, giving her a small smile as she watched her quietly.  “Usually courting gifts are displays of prowess.  Like a bearskin that was gained by hunting the bear alone.  Weapons.  Thoughtful things that are also practical,” Anya said simply, shifting forward to gently nuzzle against her forehead, “By warrior standards, I am.  Warriors are considered lucky to see their second decade.  I’ve almost reached my third.”

Anya couldn’t help the small smile at Clarke’s obvious pleasure as she slowly skimmed her fingertips against her.  She found herself gravitating forward to brush her lips over her forehead gently, offering her a small smile.  “A warrior is an adult when they make their first kill.  But we rarely live long enough to get through courting, let alone join with someone.  My people like to check people for compatibility before we start courting someone in earnest,” Anya said simply, “I am old for a warrior to my people.  And I’m twenty-nine summers.  Let that alter your perspective a bit.”

Anya hummed quietly, letting her fingers brush along her scalp slowly before cupping her cheek in her hand.  Her eyebrows rose slightly in confusion as she tried to compare their two societies to give her an accurate answer.  “What is young to you,” Anya asked her simply, “I am old for a warrior amongst my people, but somehow I don’t think that is the same for your people, so I don’t have an accurate way of answering that.”

If Clarke’s line of questioning was at all surprising to the warrior, she gave absolutely no sign as her fingers continued slowly brushing through her hair as she offered her a small smile.  Anya wasn’t sure where Clarke was trying to go with this, but she was rather curious to find out.  “I don’t think it’s ever too early to think about something, Klark,” Anya chided gently, giving the blonde a small smile as she watched her practically melt into the furs, “Life is short.  My people don’t have taboos on sex, and time constraints on relationships because if we did, then what’s the point of fighting for survival?”  Humming quietly, she shifted to press a kiss to the side of her forehead, settling down to lay her head down on the pillows and give her a small smile.

“I am already looking forward to it,” Anya said teasingly, settling the furs comfortably around them as she hummed softly.  Her hands shifted up to slowly brush her fingers through her hair as she gave a small smile, lips ghosting along her jawbone slowly.  “You give an oath to not stray from your love, and they won’t stray from you.  You exchange weapons to prove that you are both now one.  Then there is much feasting and drinking throughout the night before the newly joined pair retire to their tent to complete their bond, where they are greeted to cheers the next morning when they exit,” Anya said with a small shrug, “Sometimes matching tattoos are gotten as well.”

“Remind me to return the favor more often,” Anya said with a chuckle, tipping her head up to catch her lips in a short, soft kiss.  Hesitating briefly, her hands immediately moved to further draw the furs up to make sure she didn’t hurt herself, smiling softly.  Pushing herself up onto her side to prop her head in her hand, the warrior listened intently, humming quietly.  “We have a union, if that’s what you’re referring to,” Anya said after a moment of thought, “But I’m not entirely sure what this marriage is.”

Anya took a couple more moments to breathe heavily over her before carefully shifting and dropping down to the mattress beside her with a low groan.  “You...are way too good at that,” she murmured softly as she turned her head to look at her, giving her a small smile as she reached over to brush her hair from her face.

Anya’s senses were consumed with everything Clarke, focused entirely on the blonde beneath her as she slowly rolled her hips against her mouth.  Then a spike of pleasure later had Anya toppling over the edge and into her orgasm as her muscles all flexed and tensed before her head dropped back and she released a throaty moan, abdomen rippling with the effects.  Her blunt nails scratched against the surface of the wall in front of her as she moaned softly.
