Volume Cube Spells

Sometimes they can be blank, sometimes they can have colors and patterns, and sometimes they can have writings and drawings on them.

Using the magic of intentions and wishes, these cubes can channel magic into spells based on the intentions and or wishes they are based on.

These cubes can be gifted and traded as like its own currency.

It's believed while creating the spell with intention-wish magic, the cube takes a little piece of your soul and becomes conscious.

These spells can be used as a protection weapon to ward off negative intentions or hurtful wishes.

As a currency each color and or pattern can represent something different like gratitude or joy or ambition, etc..

Schedule 2023 Jun Week 3

Bit late with this, but worth it with having a great time the past week with family, just that I ended up spending more time with family than I had expected. Anyways hope you're doing well, I saw the new Spiderverse movie and it's great, would recommend.

Goddess of the Void, Hollow Marshmallow Willow (Sketches)

Hi again, I know I said I was going on hiatus, but I wanted to share some sketches of a character I made named Hollow Marshmallow Willow, Goddess of the Void. I made the first sketch at midnight Friday, and then drew her some more while watching/listening to a drawing stream, and early this morning I made this close up.

Additionally my plans for SvS, and my follow up comic using that ttrpg system I’ve been creating with the comic I’m calling Monsters of Hope or MoH for short; executing on this I’m using the strategy of trying to build up a queue of uploads over the next few weeks so that there’s a backlog to post on a weekly basis again. I’m sorta thinking of it like health points or Energy but with the number of uploads I have prepared and queued up; so like, if I have 5 prepared is like having 5 Energy or 5 HP, which means I’d have 5 weeks worth of uploads for that project. In my head I’m thinking having at least 5 at any moment is the minimum I should have because either going through a dungeon or fighting a boos you’ll need those resources to give yourself leniency and flexibility and like a safety net to allow yourself to fail sometimes.

Probably ideally having something like 10 uploads queued per project, though means it’ll be a while to share what I’ve made when once uploaded was made something like 10 weeks ago, but I think that’s the approach I’d want to go with so that to increase my consistency. Which I’m thinking with SvS once I have 5 queued up then I’ll start uploading again weekly aiming for July 8th, meanwhile for MoH I’d wait until I have 10 queued up, and with that project I want to improve my writing and drawing capabilities; where SvS is more about the rules and mechanics to how the game works and functions, MoH will, ideally, fuse mechanics with narrative and illustration to create sequential “game” art. Once I have finished 10 episodes then I’ll announce with a calendar update for when I’ll start uploading that project on a weekly basis, and I’m thinking on Wednesdays for that one. Where SvS is on Saturdays as usual.

IRL Action Focus + Schedule Update

Hi, hello. I’m taking a few weeks break to restore my Energy; I’ve been feeling burnout which has snuck up on me without me realizing it until today. Part of it from working on restoring my sleep routine (after completely throwing if off), part of it more recently using caffeinated tea (French Vanilla Chai) to synch up my sleep towards a better time (by staying up later and later - for the past few weeks) and now experiencing caffeine withdrawal, part spending too much time with screens though with that I’ve been trying to get more fresh air and exercise, and stress with relationships (both positive stress and some negative stress) and managing responsibilities, and also exercising more responsibility taking care of my home as well; and, taking care of my body which recently got these left shoulder pain and neck pain, and sometimes from sitting too long I have what I think is a sciatic. Anyways,

Part of this upload hiatus is allowing myself the time to create and to grow a queue of future uploads so that I can catch up, and with that managing my burnout as well. So I plan on continuing to create through the hiatus but 1. to take care of myself, and 2. to create and provide something of value that isn’t too underbaked at a pace that I can provide for my needs.

But hey! With this post is a new focus and example character, like last monthly’s upload I haven’t really got into making the art for the example character yet with just making a sketch, but again I do think, depending, showing and communicating something can be better than nothing or saying nothing, and I decided to go on hiatus considering now I’m behind with two posts (plus there was Sally the Scarecrow too, lol), but anyways while I’m on hiatus here’s an opportunity to read through these past total 13 posts for SvS or reread them during this upload-downtime.

With the calendar uploads on June 17th and July 01st I’ll share an update on how I”m doing and feeling, but otherwise you should see me share another update for SvS on July 08th in four weeks.

Story Element: Rosetta & Bayan Oasis

Hello. I’ve written, formatted, and edited the text for this Story Element for this monthly upload, but I haven't started making the art yet (beyond just these sketches). A few things came up and admittedly I had thrown off my sleep, so for the art I’ll take about a week or two to create it and share it with an update upload either next Wednesday or the Wednesday following that for this update you’re reading now.

While thinking about what I should do - should I postpone this update all together or was there something else I could do - because taking care of yourself is important and trying to rush myself with creating something before a deadline would both be unfair to myself and unfair to you as well with creating something that could be suboptimal in quality than what I could make with applying the time. Plus health > creation, or put another way health is more important than creation, and if I were to flip that to health < creation I think I’d be setting a bad example.

So I decided that I could share what I’ve written and made so far with these sketches with the pages for this Story Element, and then be honest that I’ll need more time to finish the art that’ll go with it.
