“You really are incapable of empathy aren’t you? Who’ve thought East End had their very own sociopath.”
“I’m a little hurt you just came to this conclusion. Well shit, I’ll be sure to wear the title with pride.”

“Some conversationalist you are. I can think of a better way to draw blood to that dropped lasagne face of yours.”
“Oh ho, that’s cute, Red; that’s really cute. Decided to move up from your playground scuffles?”
miabeneventi
“Says me.” What a joy he was. “But fine, if it hurts you that much, then avoid sympathy. I can already see the pain it’s causing you on your face, wouldn’t want it to be drastic, would we?”
“If you wanna waste your time and energy listening to sob stories and being sympathetic, that’s on you; I got better shit to do.”
miabeneventi
“You hardly seem chipper yourself,” She quirked her eyebrow at the stranger, “Pretending and faking a little bit of compassion wouldn’t hurt anybody, though, would it? I’m alive but others aren’t.”
“Listening to sob stories doesn’t put me in a good mood. Says who? Fucking hurts me, physically. Can’t do it.”

“You’re full of tact, Tripp. A shining beacon of example. No, I’m not going to be crying about it all day, but it wouldn’t kill you to lay off being an ass for five minutes.”
“You really know how to make a guy blush. Sweetest thing you’ve ever said to me. Five minutes? Nah, no can do. I can give you five seconds, but minutes is pushing it.”
ines-malraux
“Actually no.” Ines remarked, pulling the knife from her bag as she extended it to the other. “I borrowed it back in the clock-tower.” She admitted with a shrug. “It was sharper than anything in my kit and I needed something decent at the time.”
“I should’ve fucking known.” His response was exaggerated, Tripp reaching for the knife offered back to him, slipping it into its rightful place. “You and your fucking sticky fingers, can’t be trusted.”

“One day you’re gonna’ get socked in the face by a soccer mom, it’s gonna’ be beautiful.”
“Think you’ll be a bit disappointed with that one. Getting punched by soccer moms really gets me going.”

“Knew your fucking ugly mug was gonna scare Dev away one of these days. Guess he just couldn’t stomach it anymore. Hell, I can barely stomach it anymore.”

“This was my life.” The remnants of his little tea shop, now with branches through the glass and puddles of water shining on the floor, Jude wasn’t sure he had anything left in the town except for family. His hands were shaking as he picked up a now shattered clock, clearing his throat, “I didn’t ask for your opinion, either. I-I’m…I don’t know what to do.”
“For Fuck’s ---” Tripp should have just walked away from this headache, mentally cursing himself for opening his mouth in the first place. “You’re kidding, right? You fucking clean it up. Rebuild the shop, and move on with your life.” He eyed the shop and what the storm had done to it, a taste of what the rest of the town looked like now.

“Ease up Tripp, the kid lost her dog in that damn storm — you could at least try to be sympathetic for a change. On second thought you would probably screw that up too, so maybe just leave her alone, yeah?”
“And I lost my favorite knife, you don’t hear me crying about it. Who the hell wants to be sympathetic? That lot were probably the ones stupid enough to get themselves killed during this shit.”
joshxwilliams
“You do realize some did loose their lives right? Or are you too pigheaded to see the death and destruction around you. That or you just don’t care about any of it. My bet is on the latter.”
“Yeah, it’s some real tragic shit. You know which fucking town we’re in? Death and destruction might as well be in the fucking town motto.”

“You the move on and forget type? I can understand that. Personally I was going to grab another drink and call it a night.”
“I’m the focus on more important shit type. Domestic fucking beer, that’s what you call a drink?”
fletcher-swxn
“What are you even talking about Blais? Other than you know, annoying the shit out of everyone with everything that comes out of your mouth.”
“Death and destruction, my favorite topics. Aw, Swan Princess, you really know how to compliment a guy. You trying to make me blush?”
“Are you going to be crying about this all day? Ain’t like you lost your life, so suck it up.”

Stepping out of the Tavern, it felt like Harper could actually breathe again. The four days that they had been locked up inside of the building, had definitely had quite the toll on everyone involved. What had happened outside though, had not been something she had expected though. A new group of supernatural beings had entered town and claimed their part in the horrible disaster that had left East End broken. She swallowed and her heart broke into a million pieces as she looked around at everyone, and for the first time in a long time, she didn’t think of everyone as a hunter or a supernatural being.
They were just people. Harper slowly started to move down the street, taking in all of the destruction that the wind and water had left behind and as she saw some of her favorite shops being ripped to shreds, Harper had to cover her parted mouth to prevent a soft gasp from leaving her lips. Not only had the storm taken memorable places and ripped it apart, it had also taken lives. Innocent lives. As she walked past a deceased man, she kept her gaze on the road ahead as she didn’t want to see it. Closing her eyes, Harper took a deep breath and stopped in the middle of the road. How on Earth were they going to be get through this? Would the community of East End rebuild or would it burn up in flames?
Sniffing, she blinked as she felt someone approach her. Clearing her throat, she moved her hands to her face and rubbed her fingers against the pink-colored skin. A nervous laugh fell from her lips as her eyes locked with the person who had approached her. “I’m sorry. I just, this place doesn’t look like –,” she said and swallowed, “like home anymore.”
The moment the storm had subsided, allowing for the safe zones to be evacuated, Tripp had made a beeline for the door. If he was forced to stay another minute in the Clocktower, surely someone would have felt his annoyance. The appearance of the town hardly shocked him, his intentions set on figuring out what this new species was about, and more importantly, how to kill them. The destroyed home, the discarded trees laying about, the deceased beings; he hardly paid mind to them as he strolled down the cluttered street. It was the sound of another’s voice near him that had his feet slowly, finally coming to a halt beside her. “That’s typically what happens after a storm like that.” Tripp had certainly never been praised on his compassion. “Think we have a bit more important things to think of than a couple destroyed buildings.”

“100 bucks says there will be a ban in those sissy drinks like the Hurricane or a Pina Colada. Pretty sure everyone’s about sick of rain and everything related.”
“What do you mean, will be? Far as I’m concerned, they’ve already been banned at my bar. Who the fuck even cares for those?”
