- Douching has always been looked at as a “no-no”. Douching is perfectly fine if you are using natural ingredients. Do not use the douches by Summers Eve. Those can harm your vagina. I recommend following @cleancatcommittee305 on instagram. She has wonderful reviews on her products and she has plenty of advice on her page.
- Wipe from front to back. You don’t want to bring the bacteria from the back to the front.
- Take Cranberry pills or drink a glass a day. Cranberry helps fight bacteria and prevent UTI’S. Make sure to grab sugar free Cranberry juice if you are going to drink it.
- Drink your water! Being dehydrated can leave you with a dry vagina. A dry vagina leads to lack of lubrication which can be very uncomfortable.
- Watch what goes in your vagina. What you stick in your vagina can cause your pH balance to become off, STD’S, or even a UTI. Make sure you use clean toys (if you use any). Don’t get me started on a penis. How you make sure you are clean before a dick appointment, make sure he is too! He will be putting that in you honey!
- I’m not going to sit here and be your “sex ed” coach, but make sure your partner is healthy. We don’t want any sexually transmitted diseases.
- Always pee after sex. It pushes bacteria before it can reach the bladder causing a UTI.
- Do not clean the inside of your vagina. It does that itself. You just need to clean the outer area. I recommend a soap that is scent free such as doves white soap bar or check out @sweetcookiewash on instagram. Another brand that is natural.
- Vaginas will not smell like candy or anything else sweet! It has its own natural scent. Do not go to spraying perfume or using any fancy body wash down there. You will regret it! Now, if you start getting a strong smell down there, that is not normal.
- Limit how much caffeine you intake along with sugar. Please eat healthy foods and greens as much as you can. It will pay off. Don’t forget vaginal care comes from the inside too, not just the outside.
- I better not find out you are putting any food or anything in your vagina. If it doesn’t belong there then don’t put it there. I’ve heard too many stories on how people using cucumbers, lollipops, and etc. I don’t even want to warn you guys, but I have to.
- Adding apple cider vinegar, essential oils, or coconut oil to a bathe is perfectly okay for your vagina.
