World Ocean Day snuck by me again this year. I’m two days late, but still thought I should post my most ocean illustration. Intertidal Life of the North Atlantic, from 2019.
I feel super lucky to live in a state that recognizes how important our coastal waters are. Just look at some of the crazy creatures that call it home. All beautiful, some delicious. Let’s help protect the oceans and its inhabitants. THE POSTER 18 X 24" or 24 X 36"
Get wet, get wiggly, it's World Eel Day!! I forgot to implement the theme even though I'm the one who chose it oops. That just means I may need to draw a few more eels

i think the tendancy of billionaires to build giant secure and isolated survival bunkers is very indicative of their inability to form or see the value in community, but also their reckless tendency to not consider the dangers of isolation. the thing about building your apocalypse bunker on an isolated island only accessible by sea or air is that you only do this if you assume the danger of an imminent collapse is going to be other people. but more likely you are going to die specifically because no one can easily get to you if you need help and it would be safer if you had just built up strong connections with your local community so that you have mutual trust and aid that you can rely on.
it's hilarious to think of a billionaire dying alone in their stupid pharoah's tomb because they had a bad fall in their shower or ran out of food while imagining a world where people are killing each other over scraps only for the world to be doing better than ever without them

Here's to all the shockingly single bachelor uncles or the two very close friends who just happened to be girls and are only living together until one of them finds a man (they lived together for forty two years).

hot take but if it's really a free trial then people shouldn't be expected to give their credit card infos before entering the trial. they should only be asked to do that once the trial is ending or after it's already ended and they're satisfied with what they're paying for. not if they forgot to manually cancel the payment that they didn't sign even sign up for
This is maybe a silly thing to be worry about, but as someone who is completely ethically vegan but due to extremely restrictive food allergies can't go 100% vegan in my diet, I always feel like I'm not allowed to call myself vegan or talk too much about veganism. It's probably irrational but I always have this fear that people are going to laugh in my face for advocating a lifestyle/diet that I can't even follow perfectly myself
I think that feeling is understandable and not silly at all, but honestly I'd love it if we heard from more people like you. All we ever hear is "I cant eat 100% plant-based so I'm not even trying to reduce the amount of animal exploitation I am funding in any other way." People treat it as some sort of all or nothing, and to be fair I think vegans framing it that way is partly to blame for that.
That is why we need to hear more from people who are not eating fully plant-based but are still avoiding animal exploitation in every other way that they're able to, because most of them feel like you do, and so they just don't really talk about it. I wholeheartedly support people who still have to eat some animal products advocating for veganism and teaching others how to navigate the things you can control, while accepting that you can't be 100% plant-based just yet.
People need to know that we should all be doing our best, sometimes that means eating plant-based completely, sometimes that means just doing what you can. I'd encourage you to be open and honest with people about your situation if you're able to, because you may show someone else in a similar situation that they don't have to just give up trying entirely just because they can't be completely vegan.
sorry I can’t hang out tonight. yeah I’m busy freaking out over things that might not even happen. yeah it’s gonna take a while

ngl I hate subscriptions. when people pay for something, they should be able to actually own it permanently. otherwise it’s just scam
