“Don’ fink I ‘aven’t considered the chances before. Yah still lookin’ jus’ like yah did the day I met yah. How long ago was that?” He asked trying his hardest to put together the years that had separated the two. It didn’t feel like anything as he stood there though. Almost like they had been stuck the same way and nothing happened. Trish was always welcoming to him like that though. Maybe she just understood that time didn’t matter to Jet and he’d show up like the ruffed up old dog he always was. “Hades, ‘aven’t heard from him in a while, good to ‘ear yah an’ him are still that power couple we all knew from before. I agree though, I been all ‘round ‘ere and this place jus’ seems to be the only one I ever want to go back to.” With such a past it couldn’t be too surprising to them why the town attracted them so much. Finally he gave some real emotion. The thought of Flora’s face after seeing him sent a boastful laugh all through his wide set chest. “I shoulda’ thought that girl would still be ‘ere. We both got to make sure we give her a visit, not that she’d want to see my ugly mug ‘round them flowers.” Jet let out a long sigh. “So yah have been alright then, I can only guess since yah are ‘ere of all places.”
Trish took great pride in her appearance so she accepted the compliment with a grin before shrugging one shoulder in response, "long enough. I hardly worry about that detour of a job anymore, I'm much happier where I am now. And Hades-" the happy spark that appeared in her eyes at the mention of her husband had become a natural response over the years. "He's doing really well, if you stick around long enough - you may even run into him." Trish laughed just trying to imagine exactly what the blonde's face would twist into at the sight of Jet even remotely near her boutique. If he did choose to do it, that was something she'd have to see for herself. "Unfortunately, yes. She's still around. At least she stays on her little plot of the town and I don't need to deal with her too much. I think she knows better at this point. She's learned that much." Nodding in response, she looked around her art studio, "yea, I've been doing more than alright. I think I've found my stride here, I have freedom to go out and travel for inspiration and come right back here to bring it to life. What about you? Are you alright?"

Jet hit his own chest with his hand, acting as if offended by the comment. “Nah. I’ll out live yah all. Us McKinny’s got long lives.” It was ironic what he said despite the line of work he was in but it was all the truth. Great-Papa McKinny was still kicking and he’d been known to do much worse then Jet, leaving behind much more threatening ties too. Not moving much as she hugged him he let the over affection of the moment pass before answering her. “To your surprise it is all jus’ a visit. Hadn’ been ‘round here in so long I figured I’d see who still be stompin’ the grounds.” He shrugged and moved into the room to look at the new set up. “But maybe I did ‘ear a thing or two ‘bout some small gang a few towns ova’ might as well give ‘em a scare jus’ for kicks.” This brought a real smile to the man, the idea that his gang had grown was all good in his book but Jet did like to have his fun, even if it was a bit more sinister then one with a more normal career.
"Are you sure about that? I might actually be immortal," she joked, smiling to herself at his ability to stand stock still while being hugged. Not a lot had changed with him since the last time she'd seen him. "Just a visit?" she asked, her smile growing across her face, "so that must mean you actually have some feelings in there-" Trish pointed at his chest, "at least a bit. I seem to remember you not hating my company." She stepped back into the main floor of her studio, gesturing him to follow so they weren't just standing in the doorway, "luckily for you, I just came back into town. Hades and I have been traveling. This place is more like home than I thought it was." With a short laugh, she looked back at Jet, "you should absolutely go stand outside Flora's store while you're in town - it would probably scare the shit out of her. And be funny for everyone else."

With his own schedule that had pulled him away from anyone he once encountered the life of the McKinny man had been set off just as it was before. Silently skating from town to down and circling back to the old ‘jobs’ he once would have considered leaving behind. But that was long forgotten when an offer was too good and he knew the job was something he could pull off easily. But here he was standing in the doorway of the woman he called a friend despite the lack of all communication, a straight line on his face that anyone who didn’t know him would think was menacing. “An’ here I was finkin’ my own presence was better then any ol’ cupcake.” His large body moved into the room. “Long time no see, ‘eh Trish.”
Trish looked over her shoulder, a grin growing across her lips as she turned to fully face the man. It had certainly been a long time since she’d last seen Jet, let alone in the daylight. “I thought you were dead,” she shrugged, teasing. Setting down her box of supplies, she moved over to where he stood and despite his typically terrifying demeanor she hugged him in greeting - she was never scared of him. “What brings you to town-- actually,” Trish stopped and inspected him carefully, “I’m betting you’re obligated not to tell me too much, given what you do. Can I get a hint?” If trouble were brewing, she’d have been told not to return by George so she doubted there was an underground war starting. “Can’t be too pressing if you managed time to come visit me.”
Trish looked around her studio, satisfied with the new set-up. The last several months had been a whirlwind of travel - for her husband's fight schedule and her own artistic needs - and along the way she'd collected a myriad of items to decorate with and spark her muse for her next show. The first proper collection she'd made had gone over very well, a fact she of course was not surprised about, and she was looking forward to the next. She was glad to be home so she could get to work. Though she enjoyed the travel, she found herself homesick for the town -- a place that she'd grown quite fond of over the years. One day she knew Hades and herself would find their way back to Greece but for now, this place was their home no matter how far they often travelled. One day they'd settle down, she was certain. "I wonder who I can con into bringing me one of Mel's cupcakes," she mused to herself, knowing she had a bit of inventory left to organize.
