The Veil
Come now to the veil with me
The whispers call me there
It's been thinning lately can't you tell
The splinters they all show
Come with me to view the veil now who knows what we'll see
come with me to see the veil now who knows what we'll hear
Spirits echo from beyond now their voices they share
words they form and shape before us their visage we see
Come with me to the veil now
Come with me and see
Come with me we'll find the veil now and at peace we'll be
Come with me we'll find the veil now and at peace we'll be...
I made a thing!
Quartz Crystal's, dyed hemp rope, leather, deer bone, and silver wire. It makes a whimsical chime when rattled.
Silence
Everything is silent
Even with the world is shouting all around me
As my voice cracks and breaks as I scream.
Yet no sound escapes my lips.
The sound is captured in my throat and it's choking me.
My voice is stopping me.
I'm screaming and calling out for help.
My scream is a whisper.
I don't want to bother anyone with my problems and pain.
Listening to the sounds of others is what I'm good at.
Maybe someday I'll be able to make my own noise.

Transitions
It seems to be that time of year again. Where everything is equally over and underwhelming. Where I want nothing more than to be surrounded by people yet absolutely alone. For me it is a sign of needing to transition once more. To reconnect with myself and my energy. To be the best I can be. I have learned a lot this year and now I get to really go through and apply it to my life moving forward.

modern witch problems
your phone rings when you’re grounding
“is this Jade or Aventurine?”
your dog licks up your salt circle
finding crystals in your pockets three weeks after putting them there
forgetting a spell you just memorized
“so… you’re a satanist?”
where are your herbs? kitchen? by your altar? you’ll never know
using your tincture too early and it just tastes like vinegar
SMOKE DETECTORS
The Wiccan Rede
I stumbled upon a part of this the other week and just found out what it was in its entirety. I have found that specific parts are already ingrained into the way I practice. Just incase anyone is interested this is a full version of the wiccan rede.
Bide the Wiccan Laws we must In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust.
Live and let live. Fairly take and fairly give.
Cast the Circle thrice about to keep the evil spirits out.
To bind the spell every time let the spell be spake in rhyme.
Soft of eye and light of touch, Speak little, listen much.
Deosil go by the waxing moon, chanting out the Witches' Rune.
Widdershins go by the waning moon, chanting out the baneful rune.
When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand to her, times two.
When the moon rides at her peak, then your hearts desire seek.
Heed the North wind's mighty gale, lock the door and drop the sail.
When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the wind blows from the West, departed souls will have no rest.
When the wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.
Nine woods in the cauldron go, burn them fast and burn them slow.
Elder be the Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed you'll be.
When the Wheel begins to turn, let the Beltane fires burn.
When the Wheel has turned to Yule, light the log and the Horned One rules.
Heed ye flower, Bush and Tree, by the Lady, blessed be.
Where the rippling waters go, cast a stone and truth you'll know.
When ye have a true need, hearken not to others' greed.
With a fool no season spend, lest ye be counted as his friend.
Merry meet and merry part, bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind the Threefold Law you should, three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is enow, wear the blue star on thy brow.
True in love ever be, lest thy lover's false to thee.
Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill: An ye harm none, do what ye will.
A prized possession for me is the totem that I received from a native elder that took me under her wing. The bear is primarily an animal of strength and reflection. A grounding force, one that is capable of healing and protecting. I am proud to be able to call the Bear my spirit animal.
