"It could also be you," Jules tried to encourage the other. "Tell me about your relationship. Best friends? Or like, the colleagues who everyone thinks are into each other and secretly are?" she asked, hoping that could give her some insight into their situation. "Maybe seeing that clarified your feelings for her? It would make sense."

"Good friends, I wouldn't say best friends," Tristan admitted, "I've had a crush on her for like... forever though. Maybe it's more than just a crush now. We have a lot in common and we just... click. That's the best way to describe it."

When the other stated he was alright Tori had simply nodded, having not expected to bump into anyone on her walk home. When the question of being out here late at night was sort of turned back on herself she had to do her best to hold back a laugh. It was far from innocent as to why she was out here, doing shady work for shady people and still getting used to walking on two legs again after being on four for hours. "Well, I do work at a bar." She told the other. "Therefore walking around this time in the morning isn't really anyone out of the peculiar for me." She shrugged. "But you're right, maybe not your smartest move. There tend to be some shady characters lurking around here after dark."

"Ah, I did not know that," Tristan replied with an awkward chuckle. He was only trying to look out for another person but clearly she had it handled, "You're right, perhaps I need someone tough to keep me company. Which way are you headed?" he asked, half-joking.

"Well I know it's late but you're in a public place so I wouldn't be too shocked." Iris responded simply. "Where was it you were heading to, anyway?"

"Oh yeah, sure it's a public place. I haven't not realised that," Tristan replied, "I was actually headed back home now. Not sure this walk is doing the job it needs to. Which way are you headed?"

"Trust me, I know. I've had bad and there is no way you could be that bad." Nathaniel answered with a snort of amusement at the thought of the other man being any way close to that. "Now where exactly are you trying to get to?"

"Sounds even more ominous now. Should I be worried about my own safety?" Tristan asked, mostly joking which he emphasised with a laugh. He shrugged, "Nowhere in particular. I'm walking to clear my head and then I'll go home. I know where I am."

He led the both of them to the spot he had in mind, walking in and greeting the employee with a bright smile. "You go first man– I'm still trying to decide if I want mine in a wrap or a pita," Tucker admitted with a chuckle, nodding the other towards the counter.

Tristan also smiled at the employee and looked at the menu. He'd had a kebab before, just not at this time. He nodded and stepped forward, "Could I get a chicken kebab with chips please? A Diet Coke too,"

"Is it safe to assume that drunk or not– you've never had a 3am kebab then?" Tucker asked, a grin playing on his lips again. "There's a great place just up two streets that way. You'll love it."

Tristan shook his head, "No, I have not," he replied, "Okay, sounds fun. Let's get a move on then. I guess it's about time I had a 3am kebab."

"I was just getting some fresh air," Harper replied. "My friend works a couple doors down. It was getting a little crowded in there. No offense, but you don't really look good though."

"Ah, well you have a better excuse than me," Tristan replied with a light chuckle, "I can't sleep," he admitted, "Haven't had a good night's sleep in a while really, walking to clear my head is the only thing that helps."

"There's a good few that make most of their business in the evenings and the early hours. Like people wanting a drunken meal after a night of clubbing and all that," Tucker explained when the man said he didn't realize some places were still open. "Hey Tristan, I'm Tucker. Nothing bonds people like food, huh?"

"Ah, right. Of course. Yeah, that makes sense," Tristan said, nodding and smiling, "Nice to meet you, Tucker," he chuckled, "Yeah, I guess so."

"That's fine, I wish we could've spent a bit more time together at the party," Kennedy replied. She was starting to wonder if she had been reading it all wrong, the two of them. "Confused? About what?"

"You do?" Tristan asked, surprised by the comment. He cleared his throat, knowing he had to be honest, "Your bracelet," he admitted quietly after a moment, "I... psyched myself out a little thinking you might be involved in a complicated relationship with someone else," he knew he was all bus admitting his feelings for her with this but he was a bad liar and didn't want to hide this anymore, "And I heard from others that it could mean loads of different things and realised the only person I could really ask what it meant to you was.. you. What does it mean?"

"I mean, some of their time and I suppose not all of them. But we do need a little down time ourselves, yes." He laughed, not ashamed to be caught out drinking or anything of the sort. He was human of course and he had a life to live. "I was meeting up with friends. It ran on later than planned. Sometimes it happens when you don't get to see them as often."

"Merlin, I'd hope so. I can't imagine looking after hundreds of children all day allows for much of it. I heard it's hard to get a good work/life balance as a teacher as well," Tristan replied, "I see you've managed to find some though."

"I find it's better not to ask me why I am out alone late at night. The real answer is never one people want to actually hear." Nathaniel answered with a little smirk on his lips as he looked up at the night sky, appreciating the fresh air the walk back to his place was giving him. "I figured yours couldn't possibly be so bad."

"Sounds pretty ominous," Tristan replied, "How do you know my reason isn't just as bad?" he asked curiously.

"I say that all the time... it's rarely true." Cecilia stated with a small smile as she sighed, looking up at the dark sky spattered with stars, hands tucked into the warm coat she was wearing. "I suppose we are both doing similarly then. Night time are when all the thoughts you put the the back of your head during the day when you are busy come back to haunt you. Plus I don't tend to sleep so well."

"Me neither," Tristan admitted. He hadn't slept well since the accident. It probably didn't help that Aspen hadn't spoken to him since. That is what kept him up at night, "Fancy some company? No conversation required but it might me safer given everything that's been happening."

"Don't get me wrong, the concern's appreciated and all but I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself," Chloé told. "Besides, I've got backup," she nodded towards the dog on the end of the leash. "That's why we're out so late– Apollo needed a walk."

"Oh gosh, sorry. That isn't what I was implying," Tristan said, "I was just surprised to see anyone else out here but you appear to have a better reason than me. Probably much safer than I am too," he admitted with a light laugh as he smiled at Apollo.

"I was at work– had the closing shift," he explained when the other pointed out that he shouldn't be out this late either. "I'll head home soon, just thought I'd stop by a kebab place or something on the way because I'm starving. Wanna come?"

"Kebabs? Oh, sure. I didn't realise they were still open," Tristan admitted. If he was honest, he'd say he hadn't had much to eat since lunch and was actually starving. Instead, he said, "I could eat. I'm Tristan, by the way"

Betty shrugged, "Uh, I don't know, maybe that I'm just not ready for a relationship right now, or maybe if I had a major crush on someone and it wouldn't be fair to someone else till I got over that crush? Why?"

"Oh uh, no reason. I just didn't really get the whole it's complicated thing," Tristan lied. Well, it wasn't completely a lie. He didn't understand it but he wanted to know so he could figure out why the girl he liked wore it. Could Kennedy have a crush on someone? It probably wasn't him but he would have thought she'd mention liking someone or maybe she wasn't looking for anything. That answer didn't make him happy either, "I gotta go. I'll see you later."

"Little bit, yeah." Lucas answered with a laugh, at least he though the man was anyway but he got it. When it came to someone important to you, it was difficult not to really care about what they thought. "Maybe there is a perfectly logical explanation for it?"

"Yeah, I do that. My sister says it's my biggest flaw," Tristan admitted, chuckling, "There probably is and I should just ask her but I worry it might make things weird."
