A bit stressed about my sophomore. I find that we all flatter ourselves in self-portraits. Why not show the ugly side once in a while? I'm new here. My Instagram account is @tristandavinci

For Mr. Z : Le Dîner sur l’Ordinateur. (Eng: Dinner on the Computer.) (Mrs. M asked us to do a sketch of what our summer was like, you’ll notice the outline of a computer to the side. I honestly can’t wait to make this bigger.)
This image is for Jeff Zimpel to show him how a perpetual and vigorous study of the human anatomy can build an artist’s knowledge of the body through a short period of time. Looking forward to pushing it next year, Mr. Z.
The deltoids and ribcage areas took inspiration from Ego Schiele’s pronounced muscle tones found in some of his pieces from the 1910s.
Portrait of my father. Done in my Moleskine sketchbook while we were eating at a restaurant. 2H and HB, about twenty minutes.
A work in progress, going to sell prints and T shirts when it's done.
Stayed up all night working on this. Done on Bristol bird with 2B, 2H and 5H with help from tortillions.. (Blendy sticks).
I think we can all agree that life tends to punch us all in the face from time to time. This image describes that feeling.. literally.
Study of Manet’s Déjeuner Sur L’herbe. Last study of the school year, and hopefully turns out to be an entrance into a new world of narrative.
Sketching for the last five days. the perpetual feeling of dissatisfaction continues to follow me with every sketch i make, and is thus driving me to a point at which I’ve never been to before. While each one of the sketches was done from either life or a mirror, most of the subjects either didn’t know I attempted to get them on paper, or they were from imagination/appropriation.
L'amoureux
Lest I forget you, darling, I shan't stay long in these grounds we tread; Before I make leave into the lands we fear, Before I be forever in your head, My ego fades, you stop me in My tracks. You smell like A rose when you grin. Love, l'amour, lust, I can feel, Your skin, Rosy, upon my request. But no such delight see I in the near future, I sense cold mornings without your warmth, I hear that empty music without your allure, A man I shall be, Condemned to eternal night.
Life drawing sessions with a few classmates.
Sketch of a school friend.
Facial proportions study from back to front on one page.
Using the skull to proportion my face.
Sketchbook update as of May 7th. For Z
Illustration of a friend. Done from scratch using knowledge of the skull’s anatomy.
