I was going to write up one of those “you think I’m describing one character, but I’m actually describing this other character” shitposts where the characters in question are Shinji Ikari and Frodo Baggins, but honestly, the notion of a Lord of the Rings AU where Frodo is a reluctant mecha pilot obliged to save the world after inheriting his eccentric uncle’s giant robot is kind of fascinating.
