TRUE!
The words in the picture say: "Teach your sons to be the kind of man who shields a woman from being pepper sprayed by masked men, not the kind who brags about grabbing them by the genitals because he's famous. "
I agree and add BE the kind of man who shields a woman from pepper spray by masked men, instead of a man who brags about grabbing a woman by the genitals exerting power taken not freely given.
Well, we've made it. It's Christmas. The end of the year. A time of joy, celebration, and love. A time of peace and coming together. A time that's meant to be happy and warm for everyone. But not everyone gets to have that. There are so many of us that are forced to hide or pretend to be something we're not or risk being hurt by those who are meant to love us.
For everyone who feels that this is relatable, I see you. Whether it be pretending to be straight, cis, or anything else, you should not have to. You deserve a family and friends that you can feel safe around without needing to pretend.
I know that it's hard. I know that you feel invisible. But you don't have to be. Because this season may be tough, but you can be tougher. You can make it through this. You are not alone. I believe in you. I love you.
You are valid, you are worth it, you are enough. No matter what anyone else says.
And of you don't celebrate Christmas, this still does apply. Because it's not about what you celebrate, or who you celebrate with. This wintery season is tough for us all, and I just want you to know that you (yes, even you) are perfect just the way that you are. So go out there, smile (if you want) because you know who you are. Nobody can decide who or what you are, that's something only you can do.
I agree.
There is grace for those who provide the emotional safety they never had themselves, so the next generation never needs to know what this is like.
Some have the scaffolding of validation from the start, others must forge their own resilience out of faith and love. It’s a long road from 'being right' to simply providing a safe place for others.
They say "roots always grow deeper when the soil is rocky." - It is not about being perfect; it takes strength and faith to build a foundation that was never modeled for you. 🙏
Here is a hug!
Do you know why real love is rare?
Because it is tested.
By distance.
By miscommunication.
By timing.
By life.
But if two souls still choose each other, again and again - despite the chaos - despite the noise - that is not just love.
That is unbreakable.
I could watch a million sunrises and see a billion flowers and still never see one as beautiful as your eyes @papistrouble - the way they light up my heart ♥️

It is not your fault. It is not your fault. it is not your fault. it is not your fault. it is not your fault.

Your childhood trauma is not your fault!
- Guess what?!!??!?! Healing is your responsibility.
Sometimes I just need a reminder.
always remember that is never too late to make things worse
I FEEL SEEN! it seems like I can always find a few more moments to kick over that bucket of good milk. It actually kind of sucks though.

There is no such thing as a perfect vision of you. Every day, you'll make choices that change who you are going to be. Who you are becoming is not finished. Which means you can be different, no matter who you have been up until now.
you’re not healed, you’re just isolated with no one to trigger you
Healing is a journey not a destination.
It is not your fault. It is not your fault. it is not your fault. it is not your fault. it is not your fault.
