@trueclarebelle
Such a flimsy ruse, but nice attempt at selling it. Donât remind me. I do it without even meaning to, like a subconscious thing; thatâs the worst part. Brat.
I had to at least try. I think it bears repeating each and every time a conversation allots for it. I happen to think that's the very best part about this whole thing, you're crazy. You're going to pay for that, Goldfish.Â
This is yet another ploy to make me embarrass myself for your entertainment, right? Iâm not refusing to do it, but donât think for a second that I didnât notice. Then that means those people would be completely wrong, how unfortunate for them.
Maybe, maybe not? Okay, yes, it was. That wasn't exactly my most convincing cover but it still worked because in the end, I'm getting what I want. You really do spoil me, you know that, right? It means we're not the ones with the problem here. Majority rules. Case closed.
I am more stubborn, but I donât have that cute and pouty personality youâve got. If I tried pouting, Iâd just get strange looks and be told to grow up, Iâm sure. Thatâs an exaggeration and you know it. Most of the time, theyâre pretty decent at enunciating despite the screaming. Thatâs on you. Perfect, Iâll get to work.
I have a lot working in my favor here. And you're right, it wouldn't be nearly as adorable if you did it but I would actually like to see what you'd look like if you tried putting on a pout. Something tells me it would be amusing. It's a simple matter of fact. More people would see it my way than they do yours. Yay, I'm so excited.
Youâre so difficult to argue with. Not because Iâm wrong, but because youâre stubborn and I donât have the heart to completely shut you down. Thatâs what lyric websites are for, mâdear. Maybe Iâm just more perceptive than you, that could be it. Really? Good, Iâll get to work on it, since I can think of a dozen off the top of my head if Iâm being honest. Her target audience (save for you) annoys me almost as much as she does. Quite welcome.
That just means I know what I'm doing. I'd wager that you're more stubborn than I am-- which is truly saying something. So for me to best you on this is news worth celebrating, if you ask me. You couldn't shut me down if you tried. I'd only have a comeback of my own. You shouldn't need lyric sites for each and every line of a song you're listening to. That's just insane. Yeah, a customized playlist would be really cute. I can't wait to hear it. Yeah, well, you're a teenage boy. I wouldn't expect you to be a fan.
At a completely different place than I expected to be.. or even wanted to be, yeah. But I think what I want now is different than what I wanted at the beginning of the year, and Iâm okay with that. Thanks, itâs nice to hear that. Iâve noticed that much, and Iâm lucky to have him on my side. Seems like I only attract that bad ones, but this time is different. I sure like the sound of that.
Itâs nice to hear that youâre doing well, Iâll admit that. Really? Then thatâs definitely great to hear. I really hope it only keeps going up from here. Iâm sure youâre antsy, arenât you? Shoot, Dave and I havenât even labeled ourselves yet. This might just turn into a race.
That's not always a bad thing, as long as you're able to take something away from the experience. You've grown up in just a few short months and that's wonderful. Putting your time and attention into the things and people that matter is always key. No problem at all. You've attracted a good one right from the start but going through all those frogs certainly paid off. Now everything is different and looking up.
Yup, I'm so happy with where we are now. Most of all to just have my friend back but knowing that a relationship is in the cards is an added bonus. Thanks; so do I. It looks as if I'll get that wish though. Ugh, so very antsy but I'm being respectful of his needed time...though I just want to kiss him all the time, ha. Steep competition if I've ever seen it.
Alright, Iâll admit that Iâm stubborn to a fault. But with this, Iâve got sound reasoning. That just means youâre not listening carefully enough. Fine, fine. How about this. If I make a playlist of songs I like, that also happen to remind me of you, would you listen to it? I canât relate to anything about being 22 or catty girls being mean to me. Just doesnât work. I can tell this argument is a moot point. For the record though, I find it endearing that you like her.
You didn't have any other choice but to agree. However, I'll be kind and let you slide on that bit-- though you're still so very wrong. I shouldn't have to strain my ears to catch a small taste of what they're saying. It's a wonder you're even able to decipher that code they're screaming in. Oh um, that's an idea I can fully support actually. That's so sweet, okay. See, you're not the target audience which is why all of her music goes in one ear and out the other. You're darn right it is. I'll defend her until the end of time. Why thank you. The spunk is good for something.
Youâre extremely bright, no debate there. But youâre just so far off on this one. You can be such a brat sometimes, you know that? Heavy metal is a cut above the rest, and Iâm so sorry that your ears havenât gotten turned on to it. Thereâs still time though. You know, Iâve listened to a bit of your music, but youâve hardly listened to mine. Double standard much? We have to change that. Sheâs justâŠcliche. Sheâs a walking, talking teenage cliche and Iâm pretty sure sheâs not even a teenager anymore. She writes what sells, I wonder if she takes actual risks with her music.Â
Do you ever think that maybe you're just so keen on being against this that you refuse to agree? I can be but now isn't one of those times, meanie. Not to me, it really isn't. All it does is give me a headache and I can never understand a word of what they're saying. I don't want to listen to it, no offense. I'll give your music a try but not all the heavy stuff like you seem to enjoy. But if you have something a bit softer then sure, you can make me a playlist or something. She's not a cliche. She discusses things that we all go through. So many of her songs I can relate to. Every girl knows what it's like to go through heartbreak and struggle with friendships and the like. She does take risks. She's always getting scrutinized for being honest. I respect her.
Youâre deciding this all on your own with no help from my actions. You can keep seeing it this way though, if it makes you happy. So letâs say thereâs a heavy metal band, and they can carry a tune, but their music is a bit too much for you. Do you consider them worthy? I mean technically, they can carry a tune. Taylor Swift, donât even get me started on that topic. Poor examples.
Well, I'm a smart girl. I can put two and two together all on my own without any assistance. I think I'm doing pretty well for myself here. Continuing seeing the truth? Yes, very grand. They would still be worthy, sure. To their target audience. I would respect them for creating their music because it can't be an easy task. I just wouldn't listen to it because heavy metal isn't my cup of tea. Unlike somebody I know, I wouldn't rag on them. What's wrong with Taylor? Her music is great. She sings, she plays guitar and piano, and she writes her own material. Doesn't that fit your criteria?Â
Who even said I was drawn to it? Youâre putting words in my mouth, Edwards. I justâŠclicked it out of curiosity. And now I regret it, so very much. Iâm a proud music snob, thank you. Bullfrog taught me well. I think Iâd be like this regardless, if Iâm being honest. Pop music is a poor excuse for talent. Do you think any of those artists even write their own songs?
I can read between the lines. If curiosity was getting the better of you, that means there was a pull or lure of some kind. Which amounts to the same thing in the end. You shouldn't because you were treated to a beautiful song that you could actually appreciate-- regardless of your feelings towards the artist. Of course you are. I wouldn't doubt it. No, it's not. Anyone that gets up there and can carry a note is worthy in my book. Um, Ed Sheeran? Taylor Swift? Perfect examples. Others contribute to their music too.
Youâre really grasping at straws here, arenât you? I never once said he was talented. I liked the sentiment behind the song. I guess the chorus was alright too. But itâs not my kind of music, weâve gone over this. Cure? There is nothing to cure. Rock music is like a religious experience, unlike that repetitive top 40 stuff you listen to.
I'm not grasping at anything. The facts are sitting right in front of me. If you were drawn to the song, there has to be something appealing about it. It struck a chord with you and that, to me, is the mark of a great songwriter. Such blasphemy. Is this what happens when you're the child of a radio DJ? You become a musical snob? You poor, poor thing. There's nothing wrong with pop music.
I failed to realize who the singer was. And I only clicked it because you posted it. The things you like intrigue me, since you intrigue me. Shocker. Iâm admitting nothing. That was all bad judgment, apparently.
That says a lot all on its own, really. It means that you didn't have any of your bias in realizing that he's a talented guy. You can come up with excuses on a whim all you'd like but the proof is in the pudding. Your silence is doing the talking for you, don't worry. Does this mean you'll actually start listening to more of my music now? I could recommend some more you'd like and cure you of that rock obsession.
I plead temporary insanityâŠ? Or maybe I hit like in my sleep, who knows? Itâs a mystery.
Right, right. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that maybe, just maybe you actually found yourself enjoying a song by the very artist you've sworn yourself against? It's okay to admit it, Elijah. It's a pretty good song and I'm glad you clearly agree.
I suppose thatâs true. Yeah, I guess so. I did learn something. Well.. I think at the time I knew I was doing something bad too, but Iâm aware of that now. Iâm not going to let boys drag me around. Dave, maybe, but I have a feeling heâs not going to be like that.
Thatâs good though. Iâm glad it didnât damage what you had, otherwise Iâd really be upset. I think part of him still deserves it just a little. I really hope youâre right about that, because you deserve a good relationship after all this crap.
Everything in life is a lesson and look at where you are now. You're always taking strides to improve and be better and I'm really proud of you for that. Dave, nah. He's one of the rare good guys that exist in he world. He's always going to put you on a pedestal in his mind no matter what and that's how it should be.
So am I. I wasn't sure we would be able to bounce back during those two weeks. Everything seemed so bleak but we're doing so well. You're a toughie, that's why. But I promise, everything is back on track and I think we're even closer now, honestly. Thanks. I can't wait until it happens but I'll attempt to be patient.

Clare smells sweet pea more often than not. It's one of her favorite scents right along with vanilla and lavender.
How they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc):
Before her parents fought, Clare did well at getting her required eight hours. She used to swear by it, claiming that it went a long way in improving her work performance. But since the Edwards family home is something of a battlefield, she manages about five hours. She's one of those people that can actually fall asleep fairly quickly, if she doesn't have too much on her mind. Typically she falls asleep on her left side, facing the window. She likes how it feels to wake up each morning when the sun washes over her face-- unless it's Saturday and she'd like to catch a few extra Zzzs.
What music they enjoy:
Clare is an avid fan of Top 40 music. She likes acoustic stuff as well, some indie depending on the artist and the nature of the music. She'll even listen to country though she's selective on that as well. But if it plays on a pop station, chances are Clare knows all the words.
How much time they spend getting ready every morning:
She doesn't require much time in the morning. Between showering, doing her hair, and dressing (in an outfit she probably settled on before going to bed), she takes roughly an hour and a half.
Their favorite thing to collect:
Clare is the textbook definition of a bibliophile and collects books left and right. Also, since Darcy moved to Kenya, Clare "collects", I suppose you could say, all the postcards she sends back home.Â
Left or right-handed:
She's a righty but she would love to be skilled at both.
Religion (if any):
Clare doesn't wear that cross around her neck for nothing; she's a Christian.Â
Favorite sport:
Clare isn't the most coordinated person (her dance moves speak volumes to that point) but she does enjoy playing badminton. Because of its likeness, she would sit through a tennis match as well and thanks to dating KC, she actually doesn't mind basketball as well-- though she wouldn't be keen on playing personally.
Favorite touristy thing to do when traveling (museums, local food, sightseeing, etc):
Seeing as though culture and history are two loves of Clare's, she always makes it a point to see any museums or landmarks a town or city has. She likes to learn about how places came to be and any important instances that helped to shape the area. Clare enjoys finding small, low key shops as well, always considering them to be hidden gems in any town.
Favorite kind of weather:
Clare is a fan of anything that's not summer. She has a hard time settling on a favorite season. One minute she'll say she adores winter because of how beautiful the snow is and being able to ski. The next she'll sing the praises of fall and how gorgeous the leaves are. But ultimately a 75 degree day in spring might actually be her favorite. Ever the lover of floral, it's the season that's right on par with her personal style.
A weird/obscure fear they have:
She's terrified of porcelain dolls. Clare might like antique things but she's seen enough scary movies to know better than to trust them.Â
Their oddest/unusual insecurity:Â
Clare biggest insecurity would have to be inadequacy, or not being enough. She felt second best to Darcy growing up, was left by KC to go to Jenna, and even for a time she didn't feel as if she was enough for Eli. Clare doesn't do too well with failure, always striving to do well.
The carnival/arcade game they always win without fail:
Clare is a total pro when it comes to the ring toss. It's a game most people probably don't care about. It's old school but she's a fan and really, really good at it.
