About Me

Online, we go by TrueGold, and you can call us True, Gold, TrueGold, or any similar variation of this name.

We are probably a system. We are still figuring things out though and this is a recent development. You are not entitled to know the details of what our system is like or how things work for us. We are still figuring it out and we will not be sharing those details with Tumblr. For now, all you need to know is that we will use tags to indicate who is reblogging or posting something. This may change if we find more alters. These tags may also change if the others decide they do not like what I have chosen for them. I have also included our pronouns next to each of our names, but these may also change, because some of us are still actively exploring our gender. For now, the tags are:

*if you use it/its pronouns without making it clear you are only referring to Kona, you will be blocked on sight. And since Kona probably will not be particularly active, we will also block on sight if you claim you are referring to Kona but it seems like you are actually referring to us as a whole** or either of the other alters.

**You may refer to our entire system with they/them pronouns.

Alterhuman. Specifically, TrueGold wants to look like a stylized human-like entity, sometimes fictional characters, sometimes something else. We will change my pfp to reflect how TrueGold looks, or rather how blood thinks he ought to look/am supposed to look. Blood is still figuring a lot of this out. 相澤 (Aizawa) looks like himself in 僕のビーローアカデミア (anime). 勝己 (Katsuki) also looks like myself in 僕のビーローアカデミア (anime). Kona looks like a stylized version of our dog—a 14 year old Vizsla who our alter shares its name with. You will not get to see a picture of her on Tumblr.

The following description was written by TrueGold and applies to bleed. Square brackets were placed by me (相澤) who is currently in charge and had to edit a few things for clarity. Description:

It turns out it's time to question my gender this year, so I'm currently figuring some things out and exploring. Transmasc as in nonbinary and adjacent to being a man, but different. Possibly genderfluid, but uncertain. He/him and blood/bleed/bloodself pronouns (use both interchangeably!) I love computers, software, medicine, blood, cannibalism, and my fandom hyperfixations. I love shipping, but I'm also very aromantic and completely uninterested in any romantic relationship directed at me. I'm a writer on Ao3, and occasionally an artist on here.

The following section was written by 相澤, but it may be edited by Kona if she wants to when it fronts next, but we do not anticipate she will front as much.

Kona loves to run for fun, even though the body and lungs prefer a fast walk at most when exercising. Kona has a lot of energy and has a hard time staying entirely still. Kona loves bananas and cannot taste blood (which was very upsetting to all of us). Kona likes hiking and camping. Kona is an extrovert and enjoys being social.

This next sentence applies to all of us:

We love asks, so don't be afraid to ask us about anything. You can ask a specific alter a question if you specify who you are asking, but we will not answer until that alter fronts. That being said, we think Kona is unlikely to answer many questions and unless she corrects us next time it fronts, one of the other alters may answer for her if the question is something we know the answer to, and make a link of the post for Kona to go and reblog with her answer next time it fronts. If she does not like this setup, we may revise this after she tells us, but we don't think it will mind as long as she is easily able to add its take when she fronts, to any questions we answered about her.

i am finding irrationally annoyed by the use of the fake word "towyota." like, not because i don't agree with all of the rightfully pointed out issues or the sentiment behind such a label. but its more the part where i get annoyed at the way this fake word butchers language. like how do you even pronounce it? to-DOUBLE-U-yo-ta? and what is that even supposed to mean? トWヨタ doesn't make sense... sorry, this just irrationally annoys me 😂 i love the sentiment though and this is one of the stupidest ideas from a car company ive heard

Story time:

In middle school biology, we did an experiment. We were given yams, which we would sprout in cups of water. We then had to make hypotheses about how the yams would grow, based on descriptions of yam plants in our books, and make notes of our observations as they grew.

Here’s what was supposed to happen: we were supposed to see that the actual growth of the plant did not resemble our hypotheses. We were then supposed to figure out that these were, in fact, sweet potatoes.

What actually happened was that every single student in every single class lied in their notes so that their observations perfectly matched their hypotheses. See, everyone assumed the mismatch meant they had done something wrong in the process of growing the plant or that they had misunderstood the dichotomous key or the plant identification terminology. And, thanks to the wonders of a public school education, everyone assumed the wrong results would get us a failing grade. We were trying to pass. We didn’t want to get bitched out by the teacher. Curiosity, learning, science - that had nothing to do with why we were sitting in that classroom. So we all lied.

The teacher was furious. She tried to fail every student, but the administration stepped in and told her she wasn’t allowed to because a 100% fail rate is recognized as a failure of the teacher, not the class. It wasn’t even her fault, really, though her being a notorious hard-ass didn’t help. It was a failure of the entire educational system.

So whenever I see crap like Elizabeth Holmes’s blood test scam or pharmaceutical trials which are unable to be replicated or industry-funded research that reaches wildly unscientific conclusions, I just remember those fucking sweet potatoes. I remember that curiosity dies when people are just trying to give their superiors the “right” answers, so they can get the grade, get the job, get the paycheck. It’s not about truth when it’s about paying rent. There’s no scientific integrity if you can’t control for human desperation.

like, okay, consent does literally just mean agree. which is what enables this little rhetorical trick. because there's all this cultural emphasis on sexual consent, which is just expressed as consent, a lot of phrases whose intended meanings are "rape is bad" can be taken literally to mean "i should get to agree to everything that happens in my vicinity."

for an example, "i didn't agree to seeing you wear that shirt" is straightforwardly a fucking insane thing for someone to say, but people regularly make use of this trick to make the (functionally identical) statement "i didn't consent to seeing that"

There was a recent article by the BBC where someone said she didn't consent to playing in a match against a team which had a trans woman in it and it's like you can drop out of a match at any time. No-one is forcing you to run, it's not a wwii death match, if you are uncomfortable during a match then you can stop. Like it sounds like they beat her team and then she was mad and blamed it on one team member (it's the whole squad which matters not one player).

Like but saying she never consented is fully trying to imply it's rape-like to play football with someone she's bigoted against.
