this is how I feel sometimes
Hey, long time no posting.
Here’s me in the past year. Happy and healthy and hot as fuck.
I have been working on getting fit for six years now, and my progress has been a roller coaster. I soon learned that my health naturally picked up when I started focusing on other parts of my life.
The first photo is about two years ago and the latest one is about two weeks ago. I’m about ten pounds lighter in that second photograph.
Here’s what I have learned about getting in shape.
Sometimes, it’s all about focusing on other aspects of your life. I’ve learned to enjoy conversations during meals, making me a slower eater. I became so busy with all of my daily activities that I don’t have time to overeat. I joined a gym with a trainer to give me workouts that fit my needs.
A lot of my progress has been learning to sooth myself without the garbage food that I ate in the past, being honest of when I’m hungry or when I’m bored.
“You are Enough” by photographer Amanda Schroth.

“You are Enough” is a series dedicated to the daily struggles of someone suffering with depression and that part of themselves that keeps on fighting.
Depression affects 350 million people globally. It can make activities as small as getting out of bed or socializing to be demanding and difficult.
It’s time to start raising awareness for ourselves.
A project I made inspired by dealing with my own depression and how it felt to deal with it every single day. I am the photographer, editor, and subject of each photo.
Reblog if you are a fitblr who has had to start their journey over more than once
Starting again, not completely from the beginning, but from some setbacks. It’s never too late!
Postcards Never Sent recently tagged Burlington, VT with some sweet posters. If you’re in the area, try and find some.
Also, don’t forget to submit your secret while you still have a chance! It will give you the opportunity to become a part of a huge public art project.
If you have the chance, please help support my art project that is for my final senior year project! I need people to submit in order for this to be a success. Please and thank and love to all. Happy Holidays.
Postcards Never Sent is looking for secrets/confessions to post! If you have something you wish you could say to someone else, please submit it here. Your post may be chosen as part of the Postcards Never Sent project, where your annonymous words make the message on the back of a postcard and paired with a photograph by the artist and creator of this project, Amanda Schroth.

Coming Soon in 2014
Been living it up in sweet Dublin, Ireland. Prior to the trip, I weighed in at one of my lowest weights in recent dates, 135lbs. Breaking my foot back in October 2012 had stopped me from getting in shape, but I maintained a 145lbs. I got into shape over the summer by working a lot at my day camp. 40 hours a week of running, swimming, and interacting with kids. It definitely gets you exercise.
Anyways, starting in 2014, my best friend and I have made a pack to train together. He signed up for a zombie run in March, which I joined. And now, we're signing up for a 4 mile race the weekend after that. We're going to work together, and I'm really excited. He's a very motivating person for me, and I know I'm the same for him.
Real excited to get my shit back together and live a healthier life.
Happy Holidays and an even happier new year to everyone! I'll post all my updated information on the 2nd of January when I have my physical.
Cheers!

this is my new poetry blog
Every time.
I finish a run and I’m like “Wow I’m so sweaty and gross, time for a cold shower!”
And 45 minutes later I’m still in sweaty clothes eating a snack and scrolling through Tumblr.
Yes. Just… Yes.
rocking my new fall out boy tank :)
Sometimes I drink too much vodka or eat 3 servings of macaroni and cheese in one sitting, but by far the most unhealthy habit I have is comparing myself to others.
I’m really glad this post resonated with so many other people. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and doing my best to quit the habit.
This is beautiful.
