One of my favorite weirdly reoccurring cryptid encounters
These are the
U-28 Sea Monster
U-108 Sea Monster (see In the Wake of the Sea Serpents for these two)
UB-85 Monster (see James Sweeney's Sea Monsters)
Unnamed u-boat (see this)
UFO Watchtower
Location: Highway 17 Center, Colorado
Judy Messoline owned a plot of land that was used by spotters to watch for UFOs. It is located in the desert and the lack of light pollution gives you clear visibility into the night sky.
She ultimately opened that plot of land up for public use and now it serves as a UFO Watchtower. She set up an observation tower, campground, and gift shop and embraced the extraterrestrial enthusiasts and UFOlogists.
The site has a rock garden and healing garden and not one, but two energy vortexes. There are sculptures of two giant aliens and Bigfoot. Messoline is an artist so she does all of this herself.
Many people claim to have seen UFOs in the area. If you let Messoline film you telling your story of an experience with a UFO sighting she’ll give you a free UFO-themed Frisbee.

Bigfoot or Big Population Effect?
The phenomenon of Bigfoot sightings has intrigued people for decades, with countless reports emerging from communities across the United States. This fascinating map examines the relationship between reported sightings and population density within each U.S. county, raising questions about whether the frequency of these sightings is tied to the creature itself or simply to the number of people in the area.
Areas with higher population density often report more Bigfoot sightings, suggesting that the likelihood of more witnesses in such areas may contribute to the number of reports. In sparsely populated regions, sightings might be less frequent due to fewer observers, even if Bigfoot were present. Conversely, in heavily populated areas, unusual occurrences are more likely to be noticed and reported, whether they are genuine or misinterpretations of natural phenomena.
The map also reveals geographical patterns, with reports concentrated in areas featuring vast wilderness, such as the Pacific Northwest. These regions, known for their dense forests and remote landscapes, align with Bigfoot lore. However, population density plays a role even here, as towns and cities near wilderness areas often report the most activity.
This exploration of sighting trends does not discount the possibility of Bigfoot’s existence but emphasizes the importance of understanding the social and environmental factors influencing reports. It highlights how human behavior, geography, and perception intersect in shaping legends and mysteries. Whether Bigfoot is real or a product of human imagination, the creature continues to captivate and inspire curiosity, proving that some legends transcend mere sightings to become enduring cultural phenomena.
The Reality Behind the ‘Screaming Ghost’ Photo That Continues to Haunt Police
The ‘Ghost That Screamed’ image from 1984 has been dubbed the world’s most haunted photograph – the disembodied head floating over the car is believed to be the soul of tragic teen John Boulware.
Experts say the face bears an unmistakable resemblance to the young Boulware (left) with curly hair and sideburns and an apparent nose and mouth open in a contorted scream.

These are reproduced photographs showing the incredible growth of the Schuss-Yucca tree. The German word Schuss means to shoot up, which leads to its nickname: Jumpin’ Yucca. These mysterious plants are said to grow in the southwestern United States. Their name comes from their unique ability to grow up to twenty feet tall, bloom, and die, all in a matter of minutes. The photographs were supposedly taken by a botanist named Gustav Albrecht. Each image was taken only seconds after the previous one. It is said to show the entire life cycle of the schuss-yucca.
In his 1952 article in Scientific Monthly, Albrecht stated: “Scientists today realize that anything is possible, whether Schuss-yuccas or extra-terrestrial flying saucers—particularly when reported by trained and reliable observers and accompanied by good photographs.”
This tree is widely considered a hoax.
