{ Silently, a box was slid into Raphael's hand from behind as to not alert him to the presence of whoever did so. It was a wrapped gift with hand-painted gift wrap, that much could be determined from the texture. A note was plastered onto the side in braille. }

Raphael would jump a little as he felt the box being slid into his hand- it was a good thing he’d been working on his problem with his wings coming out when he got startled or Azrael would have been hit. He set it down so that he could use his fingers to read the note, a smile coming over his face.

“I love it, thank you Azrael. You’ll always be dear to me.”

Raphael hadn’t been able to figure a way to get his boyfriend to stand under the mistletoe that he’d hung up in a few of the doorways of their- now shared- home. The simple solution to this problem, however, was that he should just take one of the little bundles of mistletoe down to carry with him.

Ezekiel came home from the store with ingredients for what he’d be making for dinner. As he was putting things away, he heard Raphael come into the kitchen and turned, a smile growing on his face as he saw his love- dressed in a sweater that was obviously stolen from Ezekiel’s clothes. “I believe that’s my sweater you’re wearing, babe.”

Raphael let out a soft laugh and walked over to the taller angel with a smile that held all the love his eyes couldn’t show. “You’ll get it back later, when you take it off of me.” A giggle accompanied his words.

He carefully pulled the mistletoe from his pocket as he did speak and held it over his head, prompting a laugh from Ezekiel- flustered by the act and the bold comment (which he was not used to coming from Raphael).

Ezekiel gave the slightest roll of his eyes and shake of his head as he pulled Raphael close and pressed a slow kiss to the archangel’s lips. “You can always just ask for a kiss, my love. They belong to you already.”

Raphael’s house looks like a mess of Christmas decorations. He doesn’t usually do a lot to decorate- what’s the point when he can’t see them? But he has nephews this year and he’ll be damned if his house doesn’t look festive for them.

So he put up decorations while Ezekiel was out for the day at work.

I like…any compliments. Mainly not physical ones. Physical ones are fine I guess but the ones of the soul when you look into someone deeper, those add value to me. I like the few silly compliments “STU” gives me and nicknames. And Alex’s actions are also compliments to me too sometimes.

I appreciate compliments regarding skill or internalized traits over physical appearance. For me, it normally shows that the one giving that compliment knows you well enough that they can tell you something about you that isn’t base knowledge.
