They had stayed, even though neither of them had wanted to. They had to be sure that the nightmare was over. Not only that, but things needed to be packed, resources gathered, before they went trekking off in search of humanity. The first night, both women had slept deeply (beside each other, whether for safety or comfort it mattered not). Sensing and seeing no trace of either foes when they woke, they had gone about the day collecting all that they could. The cabin wasn’t going anywhere, after all.
After one more night, they made their move into the nearest city (which was now nothing more than rubble). Moira had hoped to find some sort of scout or outpost before the night’s end, but she should have known better, being so close to Zamasu’s base. It was two nights (spent camping amidst the destruction) before they came across landmarks that Angela recognized from her days helping the resistance. They had to be drawing closer to one of the human bases, so why had they seen no one yet…?

This day was going to be horrible. Trunks had felt it the moment he had woken up to feeling energies far off skyrocketing, and then immediately plummeting. There was something wrong, and he had to make sure that all the survivors were placed somewhere safe, while he went to go investigate. Promises Mai that he’d return, grabbing a pack full of limited supplies, and heads off in the direction of where he last felt that power. It was a few days, before he was able to get a better read, and his heart stopped as he unknowingly moved in too close. Black’s energy was right there, not but a few yards out, and he couldn’t see much through the bushes that he hid in. Grips the sword on his back way too tightly, feeling that panic already rising in his chest from not knowing why it was different. It was stronger. He didn’t know if he would actually make it back to the others, and hoped that if anything he could wear the wretched warrior down enough so they could finish the monster off. Takes a breath, before rushing out with a scream, sword brandishing in the dim light as he charged forward. “Stop right there, Black!!!” He knew this was reckless, and that Zamasu was probably not far behind, but that wasn’t going to stop him from trying. | @talonedbanshee |
