Hospital visit - Izaya x Mikado
Mikado stands at the door to the patient he's come to see- Izaya Orihara. He knows the informant hasn't had any visitors and despite the warnings of his friends and even those that class the raven as a friend, Mikado still decided to come. He doesn't really know why since his relationship with the informant is a strange one. What started off as a simple exchange for information grew more complicated. It was like a downward spiral- one slip and he was plummeting down into the underbelly of Ikebukuro. It was cruel. The teen decided. No one should be left alone when they were sick. He didn't know how bad the injuries were because there were nothing but rumours. There was nothing from the victim himself. Kanra, Chrome- all Izaya's aliases were dead. Anyone that didn't know their identities would now- if they were smart. The informant being taken out was a big event. One of the two monsters had fallen. Temporarily he knew judging by the laughter behind the door of the already recovering raven. Izaya wouldn't be taken out of the game so easily. Shizuo had been shot, beaten and stabbed only to get up and walk it off. Sure the informant was weaker physically moreover lacking in the fortissimo's overbearing strength. Yet he made up for that with his mental capabilities. Mikado had found out first hand that Izaya had an unbreakable will. He laughed in the face of danger, cackled with evident madness in the face of death and worshipped the misery he created in humans. To Izaya he was nothing more than a pawn. He was a fool to care but maybe he had just become adapt to the game board. Kindness to a fallen monster could have favourable consequences. Mikado found himself smiling at the two guards. The pair of them were big and bulky built like iron golems staring down dissecting him deciding whether or not he was a threat to the vulnerable informant. "Um, excuse me. I'm here to see Izaya-san." The teen murmurs politely. The first guard grunts staring at him like he's a waste of time. Mikado clutches the strap to his messenger bag waiting patiently. "Name?" The second guard eventually deigns to ask. Mikado swallows staring up the man noting the small black ear piece dangling from one ear. Professionals. "M-Mikado Ryugamine." The teen confirms. "P-pleased to meet you." Mikado bows feeling the guard's gaze on him. Raising his head he can see the man looks unimpressed already dismissing him. "Hang on." The first guard tells him moving behind the second to enter the room. Blue eyes widen pondering how a man that big can get through such a small opening. Realising he's being rude the teen shakes his head remaining standing in hopes to quell the shaking in his legs. "He can go through." Mikado smiled taking a step forward onto for an arm to stick out blocking his path. "We still need to search you. Shiki-sama's orders. Drop the bags and step back." Slowly the raven does what's been asked of him. Crouching down he places the carrier bag at the guard's feet. Next to it he sets down his messenger bag. The teen knows it's not Izaya that has asked for protection but whoever Shiki is. A dangerous and powerful man judging by who he's sent to guard the informant. Mikado stands back watching as the two guards take a bag each rummaging through the contents. It irks him a little seeing his privacy violated moreover treating the gifts he brought without respect. Still he reminds himself they're only doing their jobs. Shiki whoever he is obviously wouldn't be happy if anything happened to the informant. "No food." The first guard opens the bag he got from Russian Sushi discarding it in the trash can conveniently at his side. Mikado hides a scowl at the waste. Simon had been kind enough to give him a large discount after he offered to work the cost off. His parents had taught him that it was the polite thing to do giving gifts when visiting someone in hospital. His mother probably hadn't accounted for over protective machines for guards. Mikado bit his lower lip face flushed as the contents of his messenger bag were tipped out. It was after school. It was natural that he had his books and study equipment with him. Satisfied with humiliating him, the guard's stepped forward menacingly bearing down on him. "Arms out. Legs apart." Mikado gulped doing as he was told. One large beefy hand clamped down on his thin arm feeling along the length of his forearm. The second guard crouched down patting his foot before slowly moving up. Mikado stood nervously trying not to show them his fear. Closing his eyes he felt his chest and back being patted. One hand slid inside his blazer checking his shirt pocket. "What's this?" Opening one eye he gasped seeing the guard had his pen. "You found something? The other guard asked. "A pen." The first guard answered. "Fountain?" The second asked. The first twisted the metal body. "Ballpoint." "Leave it. It's harmless." Mikado smiled having his pen back. He didn't feel like himself without it. "You can go through." With a small nod and a polite thank you, Mikado stepped over his scattered books passing through the threshold. "Mikado-kun!" Izaya grinned waving him over. Mikado glanced at the no cellphone sign in clear view behind the bed. His gaze fell to the magazine on the bed. The door closed behind him making him jump. "Come in. Come in." The informant chirped. "Hello, Izaya-san." Mikado greeted taking a seat in the chair beside the bed. Crimson orbs fixed on him excitement evident. The raven swallowed knowing that he was the injured informant's only source of entertainment. "I didn't expect you to visit me, ne? What happened to your face? Having fun with Aoba-kun are we?" Izaya grinned leaning closer. Mikado flinched back. He shouldn't be surprised that the older raven knew what he had been up to. "Don't you already know?" He asked quietly. "Hm." Izaya tapped his chin giving him a side glance. "Do I? That would be telling." The informant's nose twitched. "Is that tuna I can smell?" "The guard's took it away." Mikado answered sullenly. "Ah. Sensible of them. What about board games? Did you bring any of them?" Mikado shook his head. "...scrabble? A crossword book?" Shaking his head he watched Izaya deflate. "Oh. How boring." "Sorry." "Oh well. You'll do." The informant perked up again. "I'm sure we'll find lots to do." Izaya licked his lips. Mikado gasped finding himself pulled forward. Soft lips pressed against his own. "Ne, Mikado-kun..." "Y-yes, Izaya-san?" He asked quietly cheeks flushed. "Take your hands off my throat." The informant told him. Mikado looked down seeing his hands were indeed around Izaya's throat, thumb pressed against his windpipe. "That's better. Come up here." The teen nodded taking off his blazer. Climbing onto the bed he straddled the raven's waist. "Izaya-san...are you sure we should be doing this?" "Hm? Why wouldn't we?" "Because you're hurt." Mikado answered worriedly. "Aw, are you worried about me?" Izaya asked with a grin. The teen nodded. "Mikado-kun, don't make me restrain you." The informant's eyes darkened. "Izaya-san?" The raven's hand caught his in an unbreakable grip. Mikado gasped struggling to break free. Clenched in his fist was his pen. "It hurts." He murmured. Izaya released him quickly moving his head away. Clink. Blue eyes blinked staring at the handcuff around his wrist. The other one was secured around the bed rail. Mikado pulled the chain rattling. Helplessly he looked at the informant. Izaya pried the pen from his hand twirling it in one hand. "The nurses are going to charge me for the pillow." The informant sighed shaking his head. "Here I was trying to be a good boy." Mikado sighed giving up. Izaya's hand rested on his cheek. "You're smiling. Your body betrays you. If you're lucky I won't send you home with ripped clothes. Izaya reached under his pillow holding up his knife. "The guards are overkill. I can protect myself." Mikado gasped eyeing the sharpened blade apphrensively. "Let have some fun, ne?"

GRM: Death Parade [6] — Decim & Chiyuki ↳ requested by: @ackerleviman
Just finished Death Parade. Damn this anime just broke my heart. I can't believe it's over in twelve episodes. There's so much going on its incredible, complex and simple all at the same time. Decim the main character is an arbiter bartender tasked with judging souls. They either get reincarnated or sent to the void. The choice is made through a single game chosen by roulette in which the souls regain their memories throughout. I want to watch it again.
