*FYI: The character is blind.* There was once a great prophet in Thebes, Ancient Greece. His name was Tiresias, son of Everes and Chariclo, adviser to Cadmus. His eyes were blinded but his ears were cleaned. He was once transformed into a woman for striking two serpents with his staff. Are you wondering who I am now? I am- ...Oh dear I was fooling with you there. There's no way I am Tiresias herself/himself. I'm Kassiopeia. Call me Kassy. Reporter, journalist, filmmaker. Although I am the descendant of Tiresias, which means I'm also a part time prophet; the original paparazzi of gods. I do consider myself professional, so let's keep it strictly business. Shall we? Oh and don't worry about Romulus, he's my guide dog. What? What do you mean he looks like a wolf? NOTE: The character is blind. [[Independent Original Character for Greek Mythology Roleplay. I'd understand if you wanna drop threads, just lemme know and stuff yep. And if I missed any of you, I now give you the permission to punch me in the askbox.
âA pagan?â He raised an eyebrow. Of course. But, heâd met Greeks before, and they werenât so bad. âWell, I see what you mean by ânot normalâ.â He chuckled. âSo youâre a prophet? Thatâs interesting.â Heâd met prophets before, never liked them, really, always thought they knew better. but, Kassy didnât seem to be like that. She had been nothing but nice, so he wasnât going to be rude, that wouldnât be appropriate. And now that he knew she wasnât a normal human he felt more comfortable. He didnât have to watch everything he said now. âWhat do you mean âone of the last remainingâ?â Were the Greeks dying out? That wouldnât be good. If that pantheon fell, whoâs was next?Â
"People don't need prophecy anymore. Not the way they did before." she shrugged, "We predicted weather, winds, earthquake, natural disasters; told if the queen would get pregnant, if the child would live through his 16th birthday... those could all be done by technology now. Even if they did ask for prophecy, they always wanted it fast and straightforward. Open the newspaper, or a magazine, looking up your zodiac sign and what color will be the best for you to wear; pick a number, find out if your girlfriend is cheating on you." Her leg swung in the air, "Sometimes it makes me glad that I don't have to see those. But they even have those on tv." she shook her head and chuckled helplessly.
"American timber wolf." she answered honestly for once, "At least that's what we think he is. He was left in front of our doorsteps alone. I usually tell people he's a wolfdog and husky mix." She chuckled.
The Little prince laughed at the large canineâs gentle show of affection. He took his hands and cupped each side of its head, just underneath the ears.
âRomulus!â he repeated, laughter trickling in his speech,âis that what your human calls you by?â
"I inherited my ancestor's name. The city Rome was built under his hands." Romulus replied, lowering his head and headbutted the little prince's chin with his large forehead, "What is your name, my little creature?"
âIâm, well, Iâm technically human, I suppose. Sort of.â He shrugged. âBut, Iâm not normal. I was an archangel previously. Then things happened and now Iâm not. Sort of.â He felt a little bad for not being able to explain properly, but he didnât know enough to be able to. âWhat career? And yes, I do believe in prophecy.â There were many prophecies heâd watched unfold, his Father kept records of everything that would happen. Or should. Sometimes things got a bit screwed up. But maybe they were supposed to. âWhy?â
Archangel. Kassiopeia couldn't help but raise her eyebrows. So he's from the other fandom... per se. She chuckled out loud at the thought, "That would have explained why I didn't see our meeting, even thought I did feel the urge to stop you." she shook her head with a harmless smile, "I would be considered a 'pagan', according to your side of the rules. And not just any regular ones, Luci." she sighed and crossed her legs, "I'm one of the remaining prophets for the Greek pantheon." If anyone heard their conversation now, they would have thought they were crazy.

Mohinder could be more awkward than strange most of the time, but those two words could practically mean the same thing anyway. Heâd still been searching through his fatherâs belongings when he had found a few random addresses. Of course his curiosity would not let him sit idly by without at least checking them out.
When she answered the door, Mohinder gave her his best smile in preparation for what he was about to ask her. He had no idea she couldnât enjoy see it though. âHello, Iâm sorry to bother you. Um, this may sound strange, but I found your address in my fatherâs files. Does the name Chandra Suresh ring any bells? He wrote the book Activating Evolution⊠and I know this may sound bizarre, but it was about people with⊠abilities.â Now, either she was going to look at him like he was crazy, call the cops, or tell him to get lost. It was okay; he was used to it.
Did the name ring any bells? Oh it not only rang a bell, it froze Kassiopeia right then and there in the doorway when she realized just who the stranger was talking about. "Yes... Mr. Suresh." she reiterated with a weak smile, "He's... hard to forget. He was your father?" She used the past tense without a thought. The son didn't mention anything about his father's life or death, but prophets usually had a way with certain information.
"I'm sorry, do you want to come in?" She stepped aside to make way for the man. Like most of the blinds, she had the tendency to keep her head straight instead of looking around, as it wouldn't do much for her.
It seemed unwise for her to let a stranger in her house just like that. But one would notice why she wasn't particularly wary when they saw the giant black canine laying in the corner, gazing sharply at the visitor. "That's Romulus," she explained, closing the door after the footstep, "He's a service dog."
âEâexactly.â Demi just smiled. Not many people knew Nirvana was more than just a band and it pleased her to meet someone that wasnât her cousin that knew about its Buddhist meaning.
âAâa journalist?â Careful, Demi. She swallowed and looked at the dog next to the lady. âWâwell, you cameâcame to the râright neighborhood. Bâbut I wouldnât wâwander here for too-too long.â
"A freelance journalist. And part time prophet. I usually know beforehand when I'm going to run into danger, or if I would be able to get out." That was a little exaggerated. It didn't always work so smoothly, but when at least it did when it was serious business.
"I'm doing a story on runaway girls, which might happen more often than you would think. Do you think you, or anyone you know, could help?"
âNo actually I think thatâs a different Cassiopeia,â He said biting his thumb as he tried to remember. âMy grandfatherâs brotherâs name was Phoenix. He founded Phoenicia. At least I think so, my memory is a bit fuzzy.â He then smiled. âBut it suits a prophetess perfectly I think. Your mother made a wise choice.â
"She's a fortuneteller." she smiled speaking of her mother, "She's made some wise choices in her life." Romulus tapped the ground with his tail as if agreeing, staring curiously at the ancient god in the form of a small child. "Ah, I almost forgot." Kassiopeia exclaimed and patted Romulus' head, "This is Romulus. He's been with me since I was 2 months old."
âPity, because I could have used the latter kind of prophecy and not the more poetic kind.â Ganymede mused, he had hoped that as one of the remaining prophets tired to their pantheon Kassiopeia would be able to give some insight on the Palladiumâs whereabouts before he had to fly out with Athena to Istanbul.
Kassiopeia just smiled. When people came for her, they were usually seeking something specific. "The meaning of prophecy has changed a lot throughout the time; people can predict weather, earthquake, a baby's sex or even what he or she would look like in 20 years. Those used to be considered prophecy." she made a pause and brushed her hair aside, "People can tell those things because in a sense they already happened--you just have to see the signs. Prophecy works the same way. Why don't you tell me what you are looking for, and I'll see if I could help... or have already helped?" Oh she loved being mystical sometimes.
â«â«Â { â }; âI donât really know how you could help me but Iâve found those pair of keys under the carpetâŠâ she said smiling with the keys hanging around her index finger. âI was just wondering if theyâre yoursâŠâ she ended, leaning against the doorjamb.
"Oh..." Kassiopeia frowned, hearing the keys collide not far away from her, "They might have been..." she muttered and reached to the wall next to the door, fumbling for the keys that were usually hanging on it. Romulus, her wolf companion, stood up from his corner and strolled to his human's side as if sensing her anxiety. "Uhm... can I take a look at them?" she reached out her hand, palm facing up.
He raised an eyebrow, âWhat do you mean by that?â She didnât seem abnormal. Had he missed something? âRomulus?â He chuckled. âNice name for a dog.â He knew a few of the old stories, not many, but a few, and if he remembered right, Romulus was one of two brothers raised by a she-wolf. Â Of course, he could be wrong. But it was a fitting name for a dog. âNo, no. I donât mind. I enjoy talking to people, really. I just donât get much chance to talk to normal humans is all.â Really, he was more often speaking to hunters or even the occasional demon, rarely ever a normal human person. âI apologize. Iâm not good with words and things and not offending people. Itâs all kind of new, still.â He chuckled.
"You kept saying 'normal humans' like you aren't." she said casually, and sighed, "Not that I would be surprised. I tend to meet all the interesting... beings." The modern day prophet turned her head and smiled at Lucifer. Even if the male turned out to be human, just somewhat socially awkward, there's always a way Kassy could joke it off. Although she had a feeling she wouldn't have to. "It comes with the career, kind of. Do you believe in prophecy?"
