【 真相 】▬「ℛᴇᴠᴇʀʙᴇʀᴀᴛɪɴɢ ℱᴏɢᴄᴜᴛᴛᴇʀ 」▬【 绝望 】 ► EYES of sharp crystallized amethyst stare coldly at the alternate. Same lilac locks, same body size, anatomy. Everything. All except that their personalities clashed. Kirigiri couldn’t help but bear resentment. The past self of her was indirectly in her whelm, provoking her need to rid of the pesky presence. She already had enough to deal with as it was, but the foolish girl seemed to blunder her way to the wolf’s den. She had partially remembered their first encounter, all due to a spell and all because she ended up in her realm before the eerie days of seeping despair reeked the air. Troubled she was, she knew it was the least appropriate time to take light of the situation. Repairing the interdimensional object was a joke. The materials here ranging from pure silver and gold were scarcer than the resources of food and water in this world. Much less alone the magical property was damaged and surely it would keep the other roaming for nearly an eternity till her body aged and rotted away in the unknown space and time.
A scowl replaced her amused expression, the mild frown turned to gritted teeth; a mild snarl of frustration and irritation. Stupid people will never know what the fuck these things did. Kirigiri had lacked the patience nowadays to deal with morons. Morons who didn’t know what their utilities had at the very least. ❝ Repair you say? How childishly naive you are, Kyouko Kirigiri. I thought I was smart all around the universe. Guess not. If you had not noticed, this was beyond repair at this point. You crashed and burned so pitifully that it would take a long time–practically impossible I meant. I’m being too vague. Resources in this realm are harder to find even food in the most barren of soil and land. Do you truly believe we’ll fix this before you are driven to insanity from the stench and taste of blood? I truly do hope you are prepared for a long stay here. ❞ her lips formed a sneering smile, chuckling lightly, Kirigiri spoke again; more coldly, devoid of any concern and even taunting amusement, ❝ You owe me. Must I repeat myself? You are lucky I am even giving you my hospitality in the first place. Otherwise you are nothing but food for the crows and maggots that will consume every bit of your flesh and bone. ❞
Black heels clicked on the tiled floor, the white gloved hand gently caressed her mirror image. ❝ Showing you is a death wish. With the Future Foundation on my tail, they would immediately shoot you down and torture intel from you until you die or cave in. You’re stuck here almost helplessly. ❞
Eyes pinned onto the shattered accessory, the shards that would fit in like a puzzle piece would lack the magical circuit for it to function again. ❝ Scrap that garbage of yours. You’ll be needed to either craft it again or find it somewhere hidden in the world. Both tasks are the daredevils, lack of mercy that I must say. Lucky for you I have something like that bracelet. The material isn’t that hard to decipher, but creating the magical aspect of time and universe travel would be your second and hardest task. ❞ Fingers gently prod at the other girl’s skin, seeing it temporarily cave in from the pressure of the tip.
Kirigiri began to lose the smile she held, fingers moving through the other girl’s hair to then yank slightly the braid. ❝ This world you have only seen the slightest of it. Not even the tip of the iceberg. If you were to stay here long enough, who knows what would happen to you. You’d create a paradox all in itself, ruin my plans potentially and get in my way nonetheless. I want none of that. I hate the fact I’m going to have to work along with you solely because I felt nice and obligated to get you out of here again. I never traveled outside of this realm, so if you want my help you’d need to be specific and genuine. Any scandalous act upon my law will be prosecuted with brutal punishment. ❞ ◄
The mastermind’s turbulent uproar reminded the detective of Junko in many ways, or for that matter any of the other Despairs that she had fought against. Having to work with someone this unstable would surely be a pain for Kirigiri as she would have to deal with this extreme form of insanity and such insanity could lead to explosive acts of violence, such as those that had destroyed the world.
Despite her alternate’s comments to the contrary, Kyouko still felt that she could fix her bracelet if she acquired a couple of key materials. Fortunately for her, one of the main components of the bracelet, the actual piece that determined where she would travel. This was particularly important as it was the piece that she would likely have the greatest difficulty in recreating. As unlucky as she was to end up in a universe like this, at the very least she retained some of her hope in escaping. She chose to disregard the comments of despair from her alternate, of course she would have to listen to such mindless drivel from someone corrupted by despair.
This was not the detectives first time living in an apocalyptic world such as this, although she did not enjoy being trapped in this situation once more. There was a reason, after all, that she had joined the Future Foundation in order to stop the forces of Despair in her home universe. So she knew how to survive in a world such as this one and knew the horrors that she would face, although the fact that her alternate was the cause did make things more worrisome in that she herself was capable of this destruction.
Kyouko responded to the mastermind, “All that I ask for is the supplies that I require to return to my own universe and for the food and drink that I require until I finish. I know that can be much to ask for but if you also want me to be able to return to my own world, that is what I will require. I also have no intentions of crossing you, for doing so would obviously not be in my best interests.”
