/ Antoine is an interesting case where we have some touchstones but there are a lot of gas to fill in and you manage to paint a complete portrait. I am eager to discover even more nuances as I keep stalking all you write and he has more and more interactions with different characters. You are a gifted writer and a joy to see on the dash.

ce;; You guys really have me in my feelings today. I really want to keep on impressing! Antoine really is special and precious to me, and I hope you continue to enjoy. He still has some work but as said previously, we've got more to give. We both enjoy company so don't be afraid to say hello. π€
okay i made a decision to screw for for a couple more minutes to tell you that your portrayal of Antoine is a joy. He is such a kind, protective and caring soul, but still complex as an immortal and not afraid to bare his fangs when needed. He has some fragility, but heβs obviously trying his best. You put a lot of love into your writing and characters, and that does show. I enjoy all the threads we have together and the little interactions between our muses!

ce;; I'll make the decision to screw around a minute too, just to thank you. I really really do love your work and look forward to threads and such in the future and talking to you in general brings me joy! π₯Ίπ€ Short or long, angst or not, I will always be ready to write with and hang around you. All of the love!
βYour worst sin is that you have destroyed and betrayed yourself for nothingβ
- Fyodor Dostoevsky
βFor it seemed to me, and I think to him, that it was from that sexual tension between us, admitted now and understood but not assuaged, that the great and sudden assurance of friendship between us rose: a friendship so much needed by us both in our exile, and already so well proved in the days and nights of our better journey, that it might as well be called, now as later, love. But it was from the difference between us, not from the affinities and likenesses, but from the difference, that that love came: and it was itself the bridge, the only bridge, across what divided us. For us to meet sexually would be for us to meet once more as aliens. We had touched, in the only way we could touch. We left it at that. I do not know if we were right.β

Gentle, a little lost and desperately grasping for agency. Your Antoine is both fragile and present at the same time. Can't wait to find out more.

ce;; And there is plenty more to be had! I have a few people I want to throw him at when I have more room for activity and some things I haven't brought out yet. That includes some planning with my lovely husband @syncwav that we're working on. Slowly, but surely.
well, first of all you've made him yours. Fully. And it's a compliment. Just breathing life into our beloved background secondary characters is no easy feat. But ngl my favourite thing is... the neurodivergency !!! and the amount of details you work in to make Antoine this fully fledged character. I just think he's neat π₯Ί

ce;; Give us more secondary characters! Loving shoutout to all of the muns for secondary characters that I've had the pleasure of knowing and writing with! It's not easy at all and I hope others are just as seen and appreciated. They're an important part to even keeping a story going, in my very opinionated opinion. You lot are fantastic and I greatly enjoy reading these threads.
Neurodivergency is extremely important to me. I've got my own stuff going on, I've said it out loud and in my own bio. I feel there's not enough neurdivergent rep when writing even when a lot of us are on that spectrum. I personally couldn't imagine being an AR immortal and having nothing going on upstairs. My ocs have their own neurodivergent traits and things. It's a great way for me to express and cope with mine. The stuff these guys go through? Jesus christ. When I read Antoine's story it was: yeah, yeah. I get it. I see you bud.
i love how you've fleshed antoine out into a fully formed multi-faceted character who doesn't exist just as another connection to lestat. he has real agency, and i think you write him beautifully!

ce;; I'll go a little more in depth but start with: I love giving Lestat's fledglings agency- because they are so much more than him. Even Alain. They are their own people, especially Antoine. Anne gave us so little to begin with and then a bit more which was more than enough to build off of. He went from "the musician" to a man with feelings, ideas, dreams, experiences, friends! I love PL for that. I use the same formula with him that I use with my ocs: they are their own people. And I just, really love that you guys like him.
To get sappy, even during my hiatus I was taking notes and mapping out how I wanted to present him and who he was. I wanted this disliked and unknown character to be liked and known.
Your Antoine has such a rich backstory and explanations for what he did after Lestat left him. It makes interacting with him and reading other threads like little puzzles, eager to see what new tidbits about Antoine we will all learn that you clearly have thought out beforehand.

ce;; I like to keep you guys wondering! He's a man of many times for his short life. He's had all of these experiences briefly mentioned which was a perfect outline for how I wanted to portray him. I love seeing how the words come out when interacting with other muses. I just think about what comes next, you guys help with how he socializes. He's his whole person and I love sharing him.

I will publish and respond OOC.
ce;; I like to think that with all of his old haunts, Antoine has some good connections. He's got the info. He has the dates. Times. Places. You need a pilot? He's got you. Some random lawyer with a bad track of embezzlement? Sure thing. A gang of people? He'll ask Killer. Some random guy that hurt your soon to be girlfriend/boyfriend when they were in middle school? Let him talk to his bed worker friends and he'll get the info.
A chance to make a lot of noise in an aircraft hanger to the chime of pipe organs, would fix something
"Does the location come with air force pilots, Antoine? And do the hangar doors close?"
"It does not, but I do know where I can find plenty." He sounds so proud of himself, a beaming smile, "The hangar doors close and lock shut."

βWhat was coming out for you like?β
βComing out? I apologise, Antoine. I donβt know what that is referring to. I am a bit out of touch with lingo and colloquialismsβ¦β
"Its... a more... 'modern' phrase? It means to tell people your sexual and-or romantic orientations. In some cases gender, if I'm not too vague." He's thinking of how best to explain but is lost himself, "In my case there wasn't a word for it yet. I thought I was just simply gay, and my parents did not take it well but better than other things. But then I had a 'second' coming out and no one at all was surprised."
