Somebody should write a cyrjim fic where they took the show’s parallel between Yannick and Roy’s friendship since his beginnings in the submarine, to Cyril’s obsession with Jim. And then have Yannick like take him under his wing and be all like ‘I WON’T LET THIS ANCHOVY MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID’ and super encourages Cyril. to be open with his feelings. But Cyril just kinda thinks Yannick is being super creepy and weird, and only gets what he’s doing the moment he realizes ‘... I like-like Jim?!’. And then it just becomes Cyril begging not to end up lonely and pathetic as him. To which Yannick is like ‘ouch, but that’s totally fair’./ref
