Hello!

The name's Charlie (for now)! I identify as queer and non-binary with he/she/they pronouns!

I like to draw, so I might post some of that here, but I always forget to take pics of my art so 😭

(You also might find a fic or two, but that depends if I am feeling like embarrassing myself or not)

English is NOT my first language, and while I am technically fluent, I might make mistakes. Feel free to correct me :)

So, here's somethings about me:

My favorite color is yellow, with purple and green being 2nd and 3rd respectively.

I have an Instagram where I've posted drawings (some that I might post here), but because it shows my face, I won't be linking it here.

I dance! I started with ballet and gradually switched over to street dancing. I also have done jazz, tap dancing and contemporary.

I do theater, but actually am not that well versed in plays.

I am kinda new to tumblr and the ✨️culture✨️ this place has, so if you throw me a reference, I probably won't catch it 🙃

May he rest in peace, and may every person who celebrates this horrific act of political violence one day feel ashamed of their ghoulish actions and repent.

For years I've seen a nonstop deluge of right wingers cracking jokes and cheering for the murders, suicides and oppression of vulnerable and marginalized groups. I've seen these same people laugh at the deaths of the other party. I've seen Charlie Kirk at every turn adamantly support the continued genocide of tens of thousands of fatherless children in Palestine. Not once do you express shame with going along with this rhetoric, a rhetoric that casually and willfully allows the continued slaughtering and induced hate crime of an innumerable number of people -- and yet you expect me to feel shame for being glad that the spewer of this vitriol is no more?

A thing about me is that I record myself taking off my makeup after going out with my friends and talking about how the day went, and sometimes when I'm sad I watch those videos to remind myself that I am in fact loved as the person that I am, because I have friends that have me genuinely smiling while talking about them even when I'm tired as shit. And that's beautiful.

Not really religious, but here's my favorite representation of Jesus in media:

This is from the movie 'O Auto da Compadecida', 2000, based off a few books by Brazilian author Ariano Suassuna, including one by the same name of the movie.

It's a very Brazillian story, and I think the name of it in English is 'A Dog's Will'? I don't really know.

Either way, very worth the watch, as well as the book is worth the read. One of the very rare occasions that I agree with the online reviews.

*This* is who I choose to imagine as Jesus. He just feels right. Real. Human, as much as he can be. And I know it can be just a preference (or not, I don't keep up with the religious discourse over Jesus's image) but to me, this is the best representation of who he is.

Also, look at the absolute icon that was the Devil in that movie. Absolutely marvelous.

Isn't it great when your parents say they'll be more supportive of your identity and community, and that they'll be more open minded, but whenever you try to correct them, they start yelling and getting upset, so you talk to your brother who just witnessed the whole thing and yours parents, from their bedroom, yell at you to shut up because they don't want to bear the thought that they might have, at some point, messed up? Yeah, it's such a neat situation.
