Hi! I'm new too Tumblr and I'm in the throws of a Sanders Sides phase, so I wanted to show my version of the orange side to you guys! I'm mainly gonna talk but to talk about him is to draw him, so don't mind my not to great art and I hope you like my design!
Meet Lycaus Sanders, my version of the orange side! Fast facts!
-He represents anger/rage.
-His logo is seen in the background of the picture, a flaming middle finger that's positioned on his back.
-His animal trait is a wolf, because wolves were seen as ravonous and stuff for ages throughout history. (Also to match with bat Virgil, you'll see why later.)
-His personality is basically the perfect blend of MCR: Na Na Na Na and Hollywood Undead: Riot or like Hobey Brown mixed with Bakugo.
-He's Virgil's twin brother.
Okay I'll explain my reasoning for that last one. If you observe Virgil throughout the story he's quite a flighty anxiety, and Thomas is a very flighty person. I think that's because the aggresion nessicary for Thomas to choose fight is stored in Lycaus. I think Lycaus and Virgil were like Roman and Remus, origanally they were meant too be one side but Thomas was taught that aggression was a bad thing and so filed that part of his fight or flight away, resulting in them becoming seperate but related sides, the other sides calls them the fight or flight brothers.
Lycaus and Logan: Lycaus and Logan have a kinda hit or miss dynamic. Lycaus can get on Logan's nerves with his shouty, and impulsive nature, as well as his tendency to take issues that seem like not a big deal and spiral them out of control. Where as Lycaus sees Logan as way to uptight and hates the emotionless act he puts on, he thinks Logan needs to let loose and express his emotions more, the latter of those two things being what led to him affecting him even though he'd get more extreme outbursts out of Roman. They do sometimes get along, but mainly when someone else is there as a mediator (usually Virgil).
Lycaus and Patton: Lycaus was really not expecting Patton to be as genuinly wholesome as he is considering it was mainly Thomas's morals that made him compartmentelise the dark sides, so at first he regards Patton with the same distain and distrust that Roman gave to Janus in SVS redux. However Patton slowly won him over, and Lycaus does genuinly appreciate his company whether he'll admit it or not. Patton basically looks at him and sees a second dark strange son.
Lycaus and Roman: These two don't talk much and aren't the most Lycaus isn't the most fond of him, he sometimes wonders how Virgil can put up with him, but eventually comes to realise that Roman has his moments. While Roman can appretiate Lycaus' passion, they show it in completely different ways, but Lycaus' posative relationship with Virgil kinda made Roman reevaluate how he treats Remus.
Lycaus and Virgil: These two have been close since childhood, and they provide a cool contrast between Roman and Remus who fight all the time. These two are like Salt and Pepper, if Virgil is welcome to the black parade Lycaus is Na Na Na Na or American Idiot, always got eachother back and barely ever fight or anything, but their fights are alot more extreme, infact their last fight is what drove Virgil away from the dark sides. Growing up on the same side made it so they're alot more sinced up in mentality's and stuff, and they're really on the same wave length, so much so that Lycaus could be playing the riff from MCR's Na Na Na Na and just hand the guitar to Virgil and Virge will be able to flawlessly pick up where he left off. Virgil is the only one who can talk sense into Lycaus when he's mad and Lycaus knows all of the best techniques to he with Virgil's panic attacks and such. Lycaus can bring out a more cheerful, fun loving side of Virgil that before was rarely seen, and Virgil can convince Lycaus to think through his decisions a bit more when it comes to what he says to the other sides, cause when Lycaus is angry he can become a bit blind to how his words may affect the others. They also always dress as the same things for halloween, a vampire and a werewolf.
Lycaus and Janus: Lycaus subconciously views Janus as his mom, and has picked up alot of his tendancy's in the way of fuck the government talk, but he'll never admit that. Lycaus is an absolute menace and he can convince Virgil to do the same, resulting in some very elaborate and annoying pranks. Janus still cares for Lycaus but on a let's just say there's a reason he starts his day off with a glass of wine.
Lycaus and Remus: The two are kinda act like another set of siblings in their own right. They're there for eachother when the chips are down but much like with almost everyone Lycaus can often find himself confused and slightly disturbed by Remus, though with his love of slasher movies he's one of the more used to it ones. Remus also takes great joy in pissing him off immensely and then just saying "what? You angy?" which often makes Lycaus snap and damn near kill him.
