002. TASK

Task #2 is bound to be interesting! We want you to write a journal/diary entry from your character's perspective when they heard that they were accepted into AA? You can reflect on what they thought, if they realized it was going to change their lives in a way, how they felt about leaving their families behind etc. etc! Just enjoy yourself with this one and get to know your character(s) better!

Oh , and don't forget to tag it with #tsahacceptance so that we can see who has done it and whatnot!

Hi! I’m Kate. I’m 15 years old and I live in the PDT timezone. Something cool about me is that I like playing Ultimate Frisbee.

Now that most of the sports season is over, I have a lot of free time on the weekends. During the weekdays, I try to come online for a couple of hours. The only things that can stop me from going online are choir and Ultimate Frisbee, but they shouldn’t take too much time out of my life.

generally, how long does it take to accept?

I don't think it's ever taken us longer than a week to accept an app and usually we accept within 1 - 4 days. We have about 3/5 admins read through an app, just so that we know that most of us are on the same page, and that is what keeps us from accepting right away due to different time zones etc.

They wanted to talk? Well, she was ready. Keevyn's eyes flickered over the faces of her parents, who sat across from her at their overly long and extravagant dining room table; their faces scrunched into what seemed to be their attempts at caring glances. Please. She was Keevyn Channing for Christ's sake. She was the one with millions of dollars in her pocket, the world at her fingertips. They were just pawns in her game-- like everyone else that crossed her path. Who were they to try and command her? Seeing through their facade was easy, something she prided herself in. If they thought they could pass that ridiculous acting fail off as parenting, they had another thing coming. Her head tilted, locks of golden brown hair gently brushing her shoulders, and her fingers made an incessant tap against the wood.

"Well?" She asked, her voice commanding attention within the room. To anyone else, the girl's natural baby face made her seem so sweet, so kind, so intriguing; but one conversation with her would make anyone realize how easily she shook the balance of every room she entered. Upon hearing her speak, her mother jumped back-- coward-- and her father's face fell towards his reflection in the table. As maid's passed by the opened door behind them, Keevyn could see their disapproving glances. The Channings' seating didn't scream 'happy family' nor should it, because they were far from that. At least in front of the cameras they were able to pass themselves as America and Great Britain's prized clan-- The Channing's That Stuck Together: on E!-- almost as popular as the royal family themselves. But when the paparazzi was gone, and they found themselves in the empty space they called home, the gloves came off-- per Keevyn's request-- and they found themselves in the midst of parent vs. child war. Keevyn had to give them credit, the pair put up with a lot of the stuff she purposefully put them through. As long as they did what she said, everything smoothed over easily; but in times like these, when they decided that actual parenting was called for, all hell broke loose.

"I said..." She moved, immediately putting them on defense mode. Her hands folded in front of her as she shifted all of her weight on the edge of the structure. "...Well?" A cold hard glance sent shivers down their spines. It was going to be a long night.
