I've been keeping track of how many pages of the manga are covered in each episode of the twst anime.

If we assume they'll keep doing 60 - 70 pages per episode it's gonna take two more episodes to finish the second volume of the manga (second volume out of four volumes which would mean we're halfway) if that's the case that means we'll be one episode behind schedule because there's only eight episodes. That's one episode worth of the main story that they're either going to cut out or rush because the needlessly dragged on during the prelude episodes.

I'm so so nervous they're going to rush through Riddle's overblot. I feel like because the first book is the shortest it always feels incredibly rushed and I really thought the anime was gonna be a good chance for them to take their time and elaborate on things but I suppose not. I don't see how they're going to be able to do that unless they surprise us with more episodes at the end like an encore

Call me crazy but after going through a bunch of twst stories and reading this thread ( https://x.com/YuuRei20/status/1740282134684930183?t=ATXh7HgHxkn9smS0e_FsRw&s=19) I'm genuinely starting to believe the writers are purposely writing Trey to be in love with Riddle.

Like I'm not so much of a delusional shipper that I think they'll make Treyrid canon (especially cause Riddle is not really written in a way that would indicate he really has that kind of feelings for anyone) but like Trey kind of is. Literally at every opportunity he's prioritizing Riddle. Like the person Tery seems to be closest to is obviously Cater and because of that one like we know Trey considers himself to be closer to Riddle than he is to Cater.

Just like the way Trey consistently speaks and acts when it comes to Riddle is so outright loving it's hard for me to believe the writers aren't at least somewhat doing it purposefully.

Riddle is such an interesting character to exist in the twst universe

The writers keep vaguely eluding to him being passively suicidal and having self harm tendencies and then they suddenly remember this is a Disney property and go "oh shit nvm we're never gonna elaborate on that and actually we're not even going to acknowledge it happened"

I think if he was in a property that has less restrictions like project sekai his character really could be a deep insight on the effects of abuse but since it's Disney I guess I'll just take what I can get

Sorry for more Riddle posting but like if I lived in a world where everyone has a special magic ability that correlates to who they are as people and my ability was that I took other people's magic away from them I would be a little heartbroken. Like do you ever think Riddle, a guy who knows he struggles with control issues but wants to be better and lift up the people around him, is kinda sad about how his signature spell reflects who he is.

Seen a few fics and pieces of fan art now where people are like surprised Riddle knows curse words or are like head-canoning that he learned it from other students and like .... Yeah Riddle was pretty sheltered growing up but like it's pretty much been confirmed his parents fought around him a lot and like no one curses as much and as violently as two parents who should have gotten divorced a long time ago but are "staying together for the kids"

Riddle's mom apparently can go on a 5 hour tantrum when someone just gives her kid a desert there's no way in hell Mrs. Anger issues isn't slinging curses around like crazy at home. She'll be like "I am never to catch you repeating these words" right before doing it too

I'm totally reading too much into this but the choker he wore in his rebellious dream outfit is so similar to the one he had on in his overblot form

So sad I couldn't find a single fanfic where Riddle gets kinda jealous of the bond Malleus and Silver have with Lilia. Like we don't know much about Riddle's relationship with his dad but we know he's definitely been kinda absent. I feel like he'd at least get a little envious seeing how close and cared for they are.

I would write one myself but Diasomnia is the dorm I know the least about so it would be so terribly out of character 😅
